I love this simple example of how the seed of an idea can grow. You either make something with it, or it gets lost in time. I’m grateful for this little buttercup back in 2023, that made it into Step Into My Flow in 2025. Sometimes with art, you have to be very patient. Writing a book is easier than making a documentary and absolutely takes less time. But today I want to post this to show how something as simple as pen to paper can evolve over the space of two years. The manifestation of visualising a book, getting funding, and finally completing it. The power of now plays a really important part. A simple buttercup, paper, and a couple of inkless pens created a spark in my mind that I can now remember by opening the page in my book Step Into My Flow. As a photographer, I’m also glad I captured the memory visually too. 🌼 #poems #manifestation #nature

To let my mum know I'd gone into labour I sent her a quote from The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe 😂 It was a big part of my childhood and something she read to us and that we watched together as a family (that 90s BBC version was elite 💁🏻‍♀️) When it came to writing about my son's birth in Swell, I wasn't sure how to approach it or how much of that experience I wanted to give away, but I started with that text and the poem followed ❤️ So here it is. It's about telling my mum I'm about to become a mum and the incredible lineage of women we all have come before us. It's called ASLAN IS ON THE MOVE 🦁🧙‍♀️🚪 This can be a complicated and difficult but also special and important day. Sending love to everyone celebrating or remembering their mum and to all the mums doing their best 🌸 📽@i4visuals
