In the Frederick News Post, I wrote about @hypervioletsmusic a new-ish band project from @mrhusband2u & @brendanxtrom - a really fascinating creative process with music files sent over distances and sampled - as a finished LP simply 🔥🔥🔥with an experimental hip hop with a darkwave sheen intelligently paired with stoic existentialism underpinning themes of death & life lived w/ deeper meaning & urgency. Those themes overlapped a visual language that 17th century Dutch painting masters used to illustrate concepts of “vanitas” and “momento mori” that you see on Hyperviolets’ album cover. One update: since it went to press, Hyperviolets album just became available on limited edition vinyl via @sirenrecords .
