🍁🍁 Nov 1: Celebrate the changing seasons and the cycles of life 🍁🍁 @manheimgardens is hosting their annual Harvest Festival, a beautiful community event with fun for all ages 🍂 After dark, Hyperstition will be hosting another one of our open air dance parties, veering into the darker and spookier sides of house and techno 😈 The Zeta Soundsystem will also be getting its first collaboration with the collective, earning its stripes outdoors among the plants and bugs 🔊 We cannot wait to welcome you all to the garden once again for what is sure to be an unforgettable night 🪩

Join @sunrisemvmtkc and @hyperstition.kc for a Bus Bench Fundraiser Dance Party at @manheimgardens ! We are tired of living in a city dominated by roads and parking lots, where it’s almost impossible to thrive unless you own a car. We believe every Kansas Citian deserves fast, frequent, reliable, and DIGNIFIED public transit. Yet instead of finding ways to expand KC’s transit system, our leaders (most of whom don’t ride the bus) are actually prioritizing removing amenities at bus stops. That’s why community members decided to take matters into our own hands, building and placing benches at bus stops that need them. Last year, Bench Please 1 raised enough money for over 30 community-built benches. Now that most of those benches have been placed at bus stops around the city, it’s time to raise more money for another round! 🪩 That’s why we’re hosting this party - all proceeds will go toward the purchase of supplies to build and install bus stop benches. Even though KC clearly needs better transit, our leaders choose instead to prioritize private profits and parking lots. That ain’t right! Suggested donation for tickets is $10. You can also choose to make an additional donation to our Bus Bench Fund on top of your ticket during checkout. If you have the means, do consider donating! All proceeds after operating costs go directly toward purchasing supplies for bus benches.
