MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 6: FALLOUT (2018)
In this sequence Simon Pegg (Benji) has been arrested and it’s up to Ethan Hunt’s team to break him out. They roll the police van into a river, then rescue him underwater.
💧Van body was mounted in a gimbal that simulated the rolling motion as it enters the water. Two HydroFlex RAC MK 5’s, holding Panavision DXLs, are mounted at the rear of the open shell.
💧Underwater lighting was provided by HydroPar M1 5k’s. The tube lights were our underwater HydroFlows (kino lights - before programmable astera and titan tubes came on the scene)

Found this image of actor,Thomas Jane, swimming among Caribbean reef sharks, in Nassau, Bahamas, for the cult favorite shark film, DEEP BLUE SEA.
🌊 A group of sharks, btw, is called a Shiver, for their sleek, cutting movements as they swim together through the water. Some also call it a Frenzy, but that can have other connotations.
🌊The film is about Jane and a team of research scientists who think sharks may hold the key to curing Alzheimer’s. That is, until the sharks decided to rebel from their captivity .
🌊It was shot primarily in Baja, at the former Titanic studios, where they utilized animatronic sharks in the large tanks. (Edge Innovations) The real ones were shot in the Bahamas location. Certain CGI shark sequences completed the overall approach. (Hammerhead Prods & Cinesite)

As the 84th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor approaches, December 7, we wanted to share some photos taken on the USS ARIZONA.
Pete Romano ASC and Brett Seymour, from the Submerged Resources Center of the National Park Service, @brettseymourphoto , met when Pete was working on the film “Pearl Harbor” and Brett was overseeing the integrity of the National monument. The two men stayed in touch, and on 2 occasions, 2015 & 2017, Pete was honored to dive with Brett and his team on the Arizona and the USS Utah.

He’s working with Thomas Hughes @t0m.hughes_ on a drowning sequence for a short film they are producing. Fortunately no one drowned during the production of said drowning sequence! 💦

Presenting the HydroFlex BUBBLECAM! 🫧
We were recently approached by to build a housing for a remotely operated PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) camera, the JVC KY-PZ 100. It was to be used as a continuously streaming underwater camera for award-winning, wildly popular, content creator, Kai Cenat @kaicenat . Look him up, his global reach is pretty staggering.
🫧 Our camera housing was developed to be used from Sept 1 - 30, 2025,as a pool camera for his month long streamer extravaganza, Mafiathon 3. It performed perfectly.
🫧 The camera can be floated at the surface for 180 degrees of motion pointing down, made neutrally buoyant to hand hold in the water, or mounted on a low stand and bottom or pool/tant and can pan & tilt in any direction. The unit is powered and controlled with a single Ethernet/HD-SDI loomed cable.
