These were taken by @elegia4 at this year's @resonance.music.community showcase. It was a whirlwind of a day. Back then it was still cold and now with days becoming shorter i finally made time to upload them. Can't believe I somewhat grew up and play live shows now as Hydra Lakes, throwing up feelings and sounds on stage. Little me would be proud. I'm proud. If you wanna see me live, next upcoming show will be next week, 17th, with @oyeminoize and @crashpad_the_band .

✨OYÈMI NOIZE & THE SAD GIRLS // CRASHPAD // HYDRA LAKES✨ 17.09.2025 • In den Vereinsräumen des Obergeschoss Hell • Doors 7pm 🥀 @oyeminoize & the Sad Girls Oyèmi Noize is a Berlin-based musician carving a unique space in the contemporary music landscape. Starting out as a bedroom project she found her way to the stage by partnering with her no longer imaginary friends “The Sad Girls”. Playing their first show at the legendary SO36 in Berlin supporting Berlin pals Pabst on their “Crushed by the Weight of the World” Tour Homecoming. With a sound that blends introspective vulnerability with moments of fierce energy, Oyèmi Noize & The Sad Girls deliver a sonic experience that is both deeply personal and universally resonant. 🥀 @crashpad_the_band Crashpad is a Noise Rock/Sludge/Alternative Rock trio from Berlin, founded by vocalist and guitarist Josefine Lukschy in 2023. Their debut album “Happy Place” was released in April 2025 (digital & 12” vinyl). The music lives in the tension between heaviness and fragility, light and darkness — sludgy guitar riffs are pierced by clear vocals, driving drums, and stripped-down yet deeply resonant basslines. Live, it becomes a raw, emotional force — intense, unpredictable, and uncompromising. It’s a sound that thrives on contrast – where crushing noise gives way to sudden silence. “Happy Place” explores the tension between safe haven and illusion: for Crashpad, melancholy is not a burden, but a rite of passage — a journey through darkness toward insight. 🥀 @hydralakes Hydra Lakes is a story teller - an emo kid at heart with just the right amount of rage. Inspired by hyperpop, post-hardcore and experimental music, they build their own sonic world: spacious, lush, often dark, but bright at times, full of anger as well as softness and committed to staying naive. hey I’ll release some music into the ether this week. It’ll be up on bandcamp on Saturday (don’t ask me why what do I know). It’s my very first EP! I decided to name it ‚soft launch‘, because that’s exactly what it is: I’m soft launching the testimonies of how I started to actually write songs a few years ago; and how I then decided that I just *really* need to finish *something* and put it out to actually find out where music making should take me. That’s where we’re at now. It’ll be 4 songs, one of them a feature for which @natty_keys keys borrowed me her words, voice and samples. Mixing and mastering was done by @_Icvis ! If you’re curious, keep it in mind and go check it out when its up. I’ll post it about it then anyways cause I guess this how you do it. Pics taken by @markusglanzzz . Stay naive xxx

I moved to Berlin in 2020 and guess what? People to make music with magically turned up - inbetween lockdowns and long walks. That’s because Éclat Crew came together online, every second Tuesday. And continues to do so to make music together. @eclatcrewberlin was founded by @iam_yvois and is a electronic music production collective for flinta* (women, lesbians, intersex, non-binary, trans and agender people). Every two weeks people meet for a producing challenge: usually we’re handed samples and oftentimes the sessions are curated by a lovely artist as a guest curator. After two hours of tweaking samples, throwing in synths, flowing, vibing or panicking (depending on the given day) we’ll present each other what we’ve made in a listening session. It’s all about creating a safer space to try out new things and celebrating showing up on a Tuesday for making music. Especially during the week, after work, it can be hard to show up and I definitely skip some sessions, but: if I participate in an Éclat workshop, I’ll 100% feel re-energized and inspired for the rest of the week. Éclatians do not only come together online, it’s a whole community of beautiful people with concerts, parties and workshops happening. If you wanna @eclatcrewberlin s insta, go to the website, check out the past challenges and hop on the mailing list. To hear what we’re makinin the workshop, check out Soundcloud. Every year, there is a compilation from all Éclat artists. Its a collection of unique songs where artists oftentimes release music that is a bit different from what they usually make or collaborate with other musicians. It’s very special and I am very happy to be part of it in 2023 (yet to come!). Last year’s compilation can be bought on bandcamp as well and listened to on Soundcloud and Spotify (/eclatcrew). There’s a story highlight in my bio, where I’ll post Éclat related events if you’re curious to meet and listen to people from Éclat! Lots of love for all of the artists and a big thank you to Ivy for creating this precious space and keeping it going. Amazing artwork by @ignatzhoch 🤍

(1/2) I always wondered why I wouldn’t commit a lot of time and energy into making music and why it scared the hell out of me. All my life I wanted to know how to write music, learn instruments, sing and produce, but I never really got the hang of it. Today I know that, even with a solo project, you’re never doing it yourself! For me, it took being part of two wonderful and inspiring communities to get there and I wanna shine a light on them here, the first one being @resonance.music.retreat . At this thing called Resonance (basically a summer music camp for grown-ups) I found trust in life-long learning, finally prioritizing making music and being confident about this long-ass process that it is. It also introduced some rare magic into my life: guess what, learning about co-creation creates real sense of community! I am a cynical gnome by nature, but seeing community building happening on a small scale and watching people from so many different backgrounds vibing, building something precious together, reassured me in my core beliefs. At the end of the day also the most cynical gnome just wants to believe that doing shit together will always be more valuable than pulling through on your own. Don’t fall for the neoliberal idea that you need to get stuff done by yourself (it doesn’t matter if it’s a hobby -as music is for me- , your job or activism). There is no „law of attraction“ or „mindset“ holding you back; it’s a lack of compassion that is ingrained in the systems we grow up in. You need people who are passionate about the same thing, who can teach and be taught, who genuinely listen to, encourage you with honesty and see you for you are.
