Thank you @archdigestindia @komalinga & AD team ✨ Our travels, sass and camaraderie have shaped Humming Tree into a renowned design practice, from humble beginnings in Calicut to pan-India and international projects. As we always say, quoting the wise words of 👑Kween: "Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love, and then we return to what's called home." IRADA feels less like a hotel and more like a place that gently asks you to slow down. Set within a 66-acre working winery near Baramati, Pune, this 75,000 sq. ft. boutique retreat unfolds as an experience shaped by quiet luxury, long pauses, and the pleasure of simply being present. Its interiors bring warmth and intimacy into a grand architectural shell, turning sweeping volumes into spaces that feel layered, personal, and inviting. The story begins in the lobby, where intricate marble inlay, soft lighting, and a monumental tapestry set the tone for a stay rooted in leisure, indulgence, and ease. That feeling carries into Rosso, where art-lined walls, relaxed seating, and an old-world bar create a more social rhythm, before opening into a cobblestoned courtyard and ending in suites wrapped in vaulted ceilings, warm panelling, and a bold burgundy bathtub. Just a couple of hours from Pune, Hotel Irada unfolds across 66 acres as a retreat that blends wine, design, and wellness into a single, immersive experience. Once a winery, the estate still carries the architectural spirit of a French château, but its interiors designed by Kerala-based studio Humming Tree (@humming_tree ) introduce an eclectic mix of retro charm, layered textures, and mid-century influences. With vineyard views, a chequered pool club, racquet courts, spa therapies, and restaurants designed for long conversations, the property offers many ways to experience it. At the heart of it all lies a courtyard where rooms open either toward the vineyards or inward to a quiet gathering space. Filled with over 150 artworks sourced from Parisian flea markets and galleries across India, the hotel feels less like a typical stay and more like stepping into the home of a well-travelled collector — a place where design, hospitality, and experience come together with effortless ease.
