Five years before I launched Humdakin in 2016, no one believed in my idea of turning cleaning into an experience. I had a vision of showing the world that cleaning can be something you are proud of—something simple that gives you energy and calm. That the small things make all the difference.
Scent creates calm. The calm we all seek. Like when, late at night, I would close my eyes and breathe in the scent of freshly washed dish towels. I would take a deep breath and begin to clean.
We all know the feeling of fresh air—the sense of cleanliness where the scent brings you peace. Where that peace gives you strength and balance. A home in balance is a foundation, a safe place where you restore your energy and find mental space. A home where you can truly relax.
I wanted to inspire everyone to have that feeling. A home where calm, cleanliness, and consistency form the framework for everyday life. The days we have the most of. The days that, in my view, we should celebrate.
The scent of a clean, safe home gives you inner peace. I wanted to change the way we see cleaning. Cleaning should not be boring. Cleaning is an experience—mindfulness and the satisfying feeling of being able to take control of what you want to improve.
That is why I wanted to create a brand. A universe where simplicity makes a difference. Where no one feels powerless or inadequate. But instead, where we show the world how simple and easy cleaning can be.
We believe in keeping a clean home. We believe you only need a few products to make your life easier and more simple—and that functionality should go hand in hand with design.
We want to make a difference. We want to help you feel proud of yourself and what you achieve.
On June 1st, 2016, we launched Humdakin – The Edit.
