Join us at Human NY on November 6th as we host a launch party for NEST, Gideon Broshy’s new release on New Amsterdam Records, which will be available for license exclusively through Librarian. There will be a listening session on a world-class sound system, interactive website showcase, and an intimate performance. Entry is FREE, and you can RSVP at the link in bio.
Nest, the debut album from composer, pianist, and producer Gideon Broshy, gathers harpsichords, synthesizers, celestas, dulcimers, pianos, and software instruments into bright, angular assemblages and dense swarms. Tracing the erratic contours of ordinary feeling, thought, and encounter, it blurs distinctions between improvisation, composition, and production, and between human and mechanical. Praised by NPR, Stereogum, and A Closer Listen, the album features TIGUE’s Matt Evans (drums), the Silkroad Ensemble’s Mantawoman (dulcimer), Hub New Music’s Gleb Kanasevich (clarinet), and Grammy-winning producer William Brittelle.
