You've carried your trauma alone. Managed it. Worked on it in therapy. Read the books. Tried to think your way through it.
But the same patterns keep showing up. The same heaviness sits in your chest. The same walls go up in relationships.
Here's why:
Trauma doesn't live in your thoughts. It lives in your body.
And most trauma is relational - so it can only be healed in relationship, not isolation.
The Human Work Experience is where that happens.
May 6-10 in Yorkshire, UK.
5 days where you'll work with trauma where it's actually stored - in your body, not just your mind.
You'll be witnessed in your fullness by people who don't look away. You'll release what's been stuck for years. And you'll leave with people who actually get it.
You'll cry harder than you have in years. Laugh more than you expected. And feel what it's like to finally stop carrying it alone.
This isn't a wellness retreat. It's an initiation.
A room full of strangers becomes the safest place you've ever been in. Your nervous system finally gets proof that connection is safe - not just in your mind, but in your body.
If you're ready to stop healing alone. If you want the pain that's running your life to finally lose its power. If this is calling you.

What makes a great Facilitator?👇
Comment FACILITATOR to get more information about our 8 month facilitator training starting this September - only 3 spots remaining.
You can gather all the certificates and methods, go to all the retreats and read as many books as you want.
The truth is this:
➡️ You can only take your clients as deep as you’ve gone with yourself.
A great Facilitator has understood a deep truth about what it means to be human:
Healing is not a destination, but a continuous journey of evolution and meeting yourself.
It means consistently challenging yourself by taking your own medicine.
And this medicine is not found in books and theory.
It is revealed in the places you least want to look at.
➡️ The more you kindle a light in your own shadows, the more light you can radiate out to others.
People feel it when they experience a Facilitator who’s truly embodying what they teach.
@_christinecara who’s participated in @humanwork.life over the past year:
“It’s clear to me that the depth I’m willing to meet in myself sets the depth I can facilitate and hold in others - and this year has taken me deeper than ever.. so I just keep leaning in and human work has given me that opportunity”
In September 2026 our 8 month training with 3 in person intensives begins.
You’ll learn how to lead with authenticity, to process trauma and emotions with skill and most importantly to turn your own wounds into the most powerful medicine you can offer.

What an incredible 5 days with incredible people.
We laughed, cried, understood ourselves and each other more and made changes that will ripple out into the world.
Every time I do this work I’m reminded how important it is, how these experiences teach us the things society needs to be in balance, so we can relate in a healthy way.
Thank you to everyone who took and and the wonderful staff team.
Stay tuned for the next one

A child who cannot sit still is doing exactly what the body asked for.
The wiggling is the nervous system regulating itself in real time.
The motion is the medicine that prevents the storm from staying in the body.
When we medicate that movement, we are teaching the body that its own signals are dangerous.
The child learns to override what they feel before they have language for it.
That override becomes the default operating system.
It runs in the background for the next thirty years.
A body that learned to silence its restlessness at six is the same body that goes looking for grief at thirty-six and cannot find where it lives.
The off switch was never specific.
It got installed under all the feelings, and over the years, it got trained well.
We taught a generation of adults to live with no bridge to their own interior, and we called it medicine.
At @humanwork.life , we train facilitators that change this narrative.

Before the training, before the certificates, before you could name what you were doing - you were already doing it.
Reading faces.
Tracking tension.
Adjusting yourself before anyone had to ask.
That is the training many healers go through that no one talks about.
That the very thing that made you skilled at this work also meant you’d been doing it, unpaid and unconscious, since you were small.
The journey for most healers at some point involves turning that gaze inward.
Not to pathologise the skill, but to ask it honestly:
What does this part of me still believe it needs to protect?
After that conversation, the room-reading doesn’t go away.
It gets more spacious.
Less urgent.
You can use it without being used by it.
That’s the difference between a skill and a nervous system strategy that outlived its original job.
We’ve only got 4 spaces left for our 8 month Facilitator Training starting in September 2026.

How do you feel when you see emotions?
Does it feel uncomfortable? Does your body tingle?
Does the thought cross your mind - “I need that kind of release”?
Comment HUMAN for more info!
We live in a society that asks us to wear masks, perform and constantly edit our emotions so that others can handle them.
The truth is: we are 70% water and our emotions are water. They want to flow.
Whether it’s your tears or witnessing someone else’s - there’s something deeply profound and deeply human about being in a space where emotions are flowing.
In these spaces we learn to let go. We learn to trust our bodies. We learn that our emotions are the gateway to meaningful relationships, feeling fulfilled in our work, and finding a deeper sense of who we are.
We’re 6 weeks away from the Human Work Experience - a space where you can process some of your deepest pain but also learn to give that pain meaning. Where your greatest challenges become your greatest source of inspiration.
Healing isn’t just about fixing. It’s about creating more life, more positive impact within you and around you.
Whether you’ve got something heavy to work through or you just want to feel more connected to your joy, laughter and life itself - this is a space for you.
Join us May 6-10 in Yorkshire, UK for a life-changing retreat.
Many who’ve come call it an initiation.
If you feel the pull, comment HUMAN and I’ll send you the info.

Most healers got into this work because they understand pain from the inside.
Understanding pain and having moved through it are not the same.
You can only take someone as deep as you’ve been willing to go yourself.
That doesn’t mean you have to be “fully healed.” That doesn’t exist.
It means you lead by example while you hold space for others.
If you keep skipping that to show up for everyone else, your body will step in at some point.
The medicine you offer your clients has to move through you first and continually.
We only have 4 places left on our 8 month Facilitator Training starting in September 2026. Comment FACILITATOR and we’ll send you the info.

You already know how to love your kids.
That’s clear because you’re here, reading this, thinking about how to do it better.
But there‘s a difficult part to parenting nobody talks about:
Loving your kids enough to look at the parts of yourself you’ve been avoiding.
Most parents focus on what they provide.. the house, the school, the packed lunches, showing up to events.
And yes, all of that matters.
Your daughter is also learning how a man treats himself when no one is watching.
She’s learning what emotional availability looks like by studying your face when your partner asks you a hard question.
She’s learning what a safe man feels like in her body based on what your nervous system does when you walk through the door.
The difference between a good-enough father and one who breaks generational patterns lives in one place:
Your willingness to feel what you’ve been avoiding.
You don’t need a psychology degree for this.
The truth you show up with is what your kids build their world on.
It shapes what they expect from love, from safety, from themselves.
Comment PRACTICE for a free practice that helps you become more connected to your emotions as a parent.

Jack
Nobody questions the person who has it together.
They’re the goal. The proof it’s possible.
But holding yourself together and being held aren’t the same thing, and I think most people who “have it together“ know that, even if they don’t say it.
One keeps you upright. The other means someone was actually there when you went down.
Here’s the uncomfortable version:
Competence can be old pain that learned to be useful.
What you figured out how to carry alone was supposed to be held in relationship. Not because you failed. Because the nervous system doesn’t work the other way - it never did.
Trauma lives in isolation and heals in connection.
Not as a concept. As a thing your body has been waiting on, probably for a long time, without quite being able to name what it’s waiting for.
You didn’t miss it and it’s not too late. It just needed the right room.
At Human Work, we’re opening exactly those rooms.
