We did a thing!
We being me, Lindsay Huff @huffalo and my six Drawing and Painting III student artists.
The thing being a 32 ft by 8ft mural in paint and can collage at Hampton High School.
The best thing about this piece was how student-driven it was. It was powerful to facilitate and invite the students to make something greater than any of them could do individually. To give them the confidence that they could trust themselves and each other for the answers.
The second best thing was working on this project with my good friend and talented artist and educator, Lindsay Huff. What a delight to create and teach and laugh together!
Shout out to Hampton Alliance for Educational Excellence, Hampton High School PTO, Dr. Imbarlina, Pittsburgh Center for Arts and Media, and PA Council for the Arts for funding and support. And thanks to Hampton's skilled maintenance crew for installing it so carefully and beautifully.
Excited to share the work that @rebekah.scotland.art and I created together over the last few months. There are unceasing horrors everyday. We were drawn to quiet, meditative processes as a way to honor these eight people, who were killed by ICE or in ICE custody in January 2026. Nicole will be selling Lindsay’s sweet recycled can collages plus beautiful enameled jewelry and more up on the 2nd floor in the metals studio, just follow the sound of the hammers ⚒️🎄🎁
Getting ready for the @pghartsmedia Winter Market, happening this Saturday from 10-4. We’ll be in the metals studio with brand new goods and hammering/flattening pennies all day. ❄️ This morning I dropped off the whole set of winter wonderland ornaments (thanks @nstemple and @campcopeland for the encouragement on this!) - they’re hammered and painted repurposed aluminum, and meant to evoke that peaceful feeling of the season’s first big snowfall, maybe experienced on a hike, maybe enjoyed through a window with a mug of tea warming your hands ❄️ find them in the shop all week during business hours and see you at the market on Saturday!

All setup for my return to @clebazaar at Winterland / 5th Street Arcades in beautiful, downtown Cleveland, Ohio. 10-7 at 530 Euclid. I’m on the Prospect Ave side of the building near Barrio. New earrings and collages! 🔨🔨🔨🔨 I’ll be back next weekend for Lake Affect, too!
A beautiful day for the Autumn Art and Maker Mart at @treepgh today 10-4. I made two new aluminum can collages on wood tree slices I personally salvaged and chain sawed from a downed tree off of Little Pine Creek Road! Bandana slides and so many earrings and necklaces. I haven’t seen who all is here but many great vendors including @barkersheirlooms and @morganitepress also delicious pierogi and baked goods! Special thanks to @nstemple for setup help and snacks and social media 🍂🍂🍂
What a beautiful fall day to come take in the splendor by the Allegheny River at the @treepgh artist market! Today 10-4, come visit @huffalo and all the other great makers. Also, there are homemade perogies!
