Founded in Paris in 2019 by Johannes Boehl-Cronau (@johannesboehlcronau ) and now rooted in Berlin, the brand has built its identity on precision, sensuality, and a kind of emotional restraint that doesn’t need to announce itself. His work blends sharp tailoring with softer, instinctive elements, pulling from memory, art, and personal references rather than trend cycles. There’s always been a balance in ioannes, between control and feeling, structure and fluidity. But with Apokalypsis, that balance shifts into something more decisive. Not an ending, but an unveiling in the original sense of the word. In a moment when uncertainty feels like the world’s default setting, THE DOUBT becomes more than a collection - it becomes a mirror. Eike König, who has shaped Berlin’s creative landscape since the Logic Records days, sees doubt as essential, especially now. For young artists caught between shrinking resources, political shifts, and the pressure to carve out a place in an increasingly commercialised culture, doubt can feel like a weight. But he insists it can also be a tool: a way to stay open, alert, critical, human. From his work at @hfg_offenbach to his collaborations in Berlin’s creative scene, Eike König returns again and again to the same belief: artistic spaces must protect freedom, not profit; students must be allowed to fail and explore. The collection is personal for him, too. Some words come from lived experiences, from grief, from the strange territory where presence and absence coexist. Others speak directly to the creative industries today, where independence is fragile and everything seems to orbit capital. Yet the message Eike König leaves his students, and all of us, is clear: stay curious. Stay open to who you are becoming. Look around. Doubt bravely.
