📍 Katowice, Poland 🇵🇱 This week our students worked on an international digital transformation project at the University of Economics Katowice.
Our Computer Science and International Business students teamed up to tackle real-life cases provided by Patryk Mączko from PLM Group.
Different backgrounds, fresh ideas, and lots of collaboration.

🚀 Vine Coding Hackathon Our IT and business students teamed up to solve creative challenges with the amazing support of the Lovable community.
🌍 International Day Inspiring sessions, hands‑on workshops and a fantastic keynote by Tjorven Denorme. So many new perspectives and ideas flowing.
🏙️ Cultural moments City walks in Bruges and Kortrijk made the week even more memorable and truly international.

Howest Dublin Tech Tour - day 4 At Google HQ, we explored:

🎤 A talk from a Senior Software Engineer at Gemini on
Site Reliability — keeping systems stable and online
🤖 During the prompt engineering with Gemini session,
students were challenged to recreate an image using only prompts —
learning how precise language, structure, and iteration directly impact AI output 👀💡
🔐 We also learned why cyber protection is a core part of every company.

Howest Dublin Tech Tour - day 3
This morning we explored @ibm , followed by an inspiring talk from @kyndrylglobal at the @belgiuminireland embassy.
Students gained insights into cybersecurity, cloud & infrastructure, international careers, and the key skills for the tech world: communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and continuous learning.

Howest Dublin Tech Tour DAY 2: The Ultimate Stress Test. We kicked off the day at the @linkedin Headquarters in the heart of Dublin’s Silicon Docks. Under the guidance of our amazing @howestbe alumna, Linde, we went behind the scenes to decode the platform. We covered:
• The LinkedIn Ecosystem: Understanding how they sell talent and marketing solutions to the world.
• AI Optimization: Learning how to build a profile that doesn’t just look good but actually wins the algorithm.
• The HQ Tour: Walking through a workspace that feels like the future—from high-tech boardrooms to vibrant lounge areas.
Then, the Irish weather decided to join the tour. 🌧️🏔️
We traded the office for the Howth Cliffs and faced the elements head-on. With a storm brewing over the Irish Sea, we proved that Howest IT students aren’t just “indoor people”. We braved the wind and rain to conquer the trail, reaching 5 breathtaking (and very windy) viewpoints.
System Status: 100% Resilient. Whether we’re debugging code or navigating cliffside storms, the #howest crew handles it all with style.
Today’s takeaway: The best connections are made in the boardroom, but the best memories are made in the rain. 🍻🙌
