Using AI as a force for good.
As one of our Highly Commended entries for the Artificial Intelligence category at this year's Housing Technology Awards, @moathomes demonstrated how they have used the technology to spot the early warnings for damp and mould.
In the 110th edition of Housing Technology Magazine, Head of Data and Business Systems Chi Fox details their journey, from asking the difficult questions, such as "are we seeing risk early enough to act before the conditions escalate?", to using their AI model to highlight properties with elevated risk indicators, enabling earlier inspections and more proactive engagement.
In the article, Chi also shares Moat's decision-making, including the choices to take an intentionally unglamorous first step and using AI as a decision-making support, not authority.

Housing management systems (HMS) carry the weight of core operational data, such as tenancies, repairs and property records.
But, as Pippa Saunders says in the latest edition of Housing Technology Magazine, without integrated customer experience (CX), housing providers can lose critical data and insights from the people who spend the most time in their properties - their residents.
Download issue 110 today to read Pippa's advice on the importance of CX for HMS and how Social Telecoms and their partners could help you with the integration process.
