A few weeks ago, I spoke to 800+ people at the Brand New Conference about the role of a designer within the community.
I talked about disillusionment within the industryâs values, the hyper-individualism of design firms, and how we must move into becoming good neighbors within our communities.
The current landscape of the US under capitalism is bleak, exploitive, and extractive - and designers have played a role in that whether conscious of it or simply a bystander.
But in a time when our communities, our neighbors, are being ripped apart by ICE, by vi0lent tr@nsphobic laws, by the repression of truth and the 0ppression of bodily autonomy and personal agency and systemic neglect.
We must be more than bystanders. We must be good neighbors.
What if, we led with our values? What if we led with our neighbors in mind?

In an effort to assist the people of Gah-za, I have illustrated and posted to my website a pack of digital pr0test posters available to everyone.
In order to make this fundraiser accessible to as many folks as possible, they are pay-what-you-can starting at $5 donations. 100% of profits for these posters will be donated directly to the GoFundMe accounts on Operation Olive Branchâs list @operationolivebranch
Your donation will provide you access to posters in black + white, color, and in a variety of sizes to accommodate your printerâs capability. If you donât have access to a printer, your local library can assist you with this.

My sweet girl Mouse has a chronic dental condition called tooth resorption where her teeth erode over time and become very painful. Weâve already pulled four teeth over the years and sheâs needing a few more so she doesnât have to skip meals anymore due to the pain.
The vet is quoting me $1800 (đ) BUT weâre due for a story sale anyways! I have loads of items that are one-offs, misprints, the last handful of an old run, or have just been sitting on the shelves too long.
Join me in my stories this evening, Sunday May 17 @ 5pm ET! Everything will be pay-what-you-can with a starting suggested amount. I can ship or do drop offs in the Pittsburgh area.
