This is the sound of our neighbors leaving for work and never making it home. This is the sound of our neighbors trying to survive. This is the sound of mothers trying to explain detention to their children. This is the sound of fear becoming normal. This is the sound of people realizing the American dream was never built for them. This is the sound of wives hearing their husbands call from detention. This is the sound of human beings begging to be seen as human. Across Pennsylvania and beyond, immigrant families are navigating fear, detention, separation, and profound uncertainty while still trying to care for one another, work, survive, and hold onto hope for the future. Behind every detention is a person. A family. A life interrupted. We refuse to let our neighbors disappear quietly into statistics, headlines, or political rhetoric. We remain committed to dignity, community defense, accompaniment, and telling the truth about what families in our communities are experiencing right now. 📞 ICE Hotline: 412-53-NO-ICE 🌐 frontlinedignity.org #FrontlineDIGNITY #Immigration #ICE #AbolishICE #ImmigrantRights Pennsylvania fyp pittsburgh pittsburghpa pgh

A recent investigative report from PennLive examines conditions, oversight concerns, and detainee testimonies connected to Moshannon Valley Processing Center in Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, one of ICE’s largest detention facilities in the Northeast. Current and former detainees interviewed described fear, inadequate medical care, spoiled food, lack of transparency, and the emotional toll detention has had on them and their families. The article also highlights concerns around limited oversight and reports that elected officials and members of Congress have been denied access to the facility. According to ICE data cited in the article, nearly 80% of people currently detained at Moshannon reportedly have no prior or current criminal record. Officials from ICE and GEO Group denied allegations related to food quality, medical neglect, and detainee mistreatment. You’re telling me the U.S. government just hired a company accused of torture… to track down immigrant children? Yeah. That’s not a conspiracy. That’s a contract. According to reporting from The Guardian, ICE just brought in a private contractor—one that’s faced allegations of “torture” and “enforced disappearance”—to help locate undocumented kids. Officially? They’re calling it “wellness checks.” Unofficially? Critics say it’s a backdoor way to deport kids—or go after the families taking care of them. Let’s pause. We’re talking about children—many already separated from their families once—now being tracked down by a contractor with that kind of history? And we’re supposed to believe this is about their safety? I mean you can callout whatever you want but this isn’t happening in a vacuum. ICE has been ramping up efforts to track undocumented minors—framing it as care, while advocates say it’s really about enforcement. So the question isn’t just what is this program? It’s— Who is it really for? Because if “wellness checks” involve contractors accused of abuse… That’s not oversight. That’s a government complicit in the kidnapping and abuse of their own community members and citizens. Share this post and follow for more—because stories like this aren’t getting nearly enough attention. @guardian_us
