What is really like as a film maker!!
1. Prepare to be overwhelmed-You can plan for the ideal set up and circumstances but something will always throw you off your rocker during a shoot adding to the list of things you have to overcome. This is totally normal, not being able to predict every scenario can lead to beautiful mistakes so embrace them and roll with the punches.
2. In need of better Equipment?- The gear is just a tool to make your artistic journey more convenient. It is not an end all be all to your problems or your style as an artist. It’s up to you to make the art you want the world to see.
3. Collaborations are stressful-Yes collaborating is stressful because your incorporating other creatives opinions and stylistic chooses to create a singular peace. This is were bonds are either broken or forged. Utilize people’s strengths and be open to other ideas to maximize what’s possible.
4.The final product won’t be Worth it.-Initaily you may feel like it’s too much work to complete a project but the reality is us artist are too critical of our work. We forget that practice makes perfect. considering only about 7% of people actually finish their projects, use your completed projects as a stepping stone to reach new heights and to achieve something beautiful.
