Sometimes there are no words for what happens on a dancefloor. Last Saturday was one of those nights. We experienced goosebumps, tingles, and were left with a feeling of wanting more. A truly special evening bringing some of our favourite producers together in one space. The sounds did not disappoint. The punters, always supportive, locked in and feeding the energy. We’re endlessly grateful to you all. Hosca is the defining solo project of David Torres, producer, DJ, 1/4 of Moral Laxa and co-founder of Fanático. His practice, shaped over 20 years immersed in collecting, playing and refining sound, moves seamlessly between production and DJing, grounded in narrative, atmosphere and long-form storytelling. As a producer, he builds tension with patience and restraint, crafting music that flows between deep, driving dance floor moments and intimate, spacious listening environments. That same sensibility carries into his DJ sets, where meticulous research, genre-defying selections and refined technique unfold across extended journeys, guiding listeners through shifting textures, moods and evolving soundscapes. Welcoming back to the Moral Laxa stage is Alex Albrecht, whose music sits at the intersection of ambient, house and experimental forms, rich with mood, movement and a strong sense of place. Renowned for evolving performances, his emotive live sets and finely tuned productions weave field recordings, submerged tones and syncopated rhythms into slow-moving passages, suspended somewhere between a dream and a dance floor. His approach creates gentle tension and release, inviting bodies to drift, sink or move with the pull of the room. With releases on Mule Musiq, A Strangely Isolated Place, Scissor & Thread, Anjunadeep and his own Analogue Attic imprint, he has developed a distinct voice within contemporary electronic music. As one half of Albrecht La’Brooy (with Sean La’Brooy), he has further expanded this language through releases on Apollo Records, a sub-label of R&S. He’ll be joined Hosca for a special improvised live performance in an exploration grounded in deep percussive rhythms and unfolding patterns. Be sure to join us next Saturday 7th March. For our next edition we’re very excited to present Dorisburg Live for his Australian debut appearance and a rare chance to experience his music in person. DORISBURG @dorisburgbg is the solo project of Swedish producer Alexander Berg. His catalogue spans dreamy, melancholic melodies and hypnotic rhythms, maintaining a distinct personality both on record and in the live setting. His music has quietly travelled far and has lived in our bags for years. They are those secret weapon tracks we reach for when we want to move a dance floor patiently. Built from small shifts and careful detail, his music moves with ease through stylistic shifts, gradually changing the atmosphere of a room. Across releases on Aniara, Hivern Discs, Northern Electronics and others, he has built a catalogue defined by consistency and intent, where nothing feels excessive or rushed. Irrbloss in particular has become a lasting reference point listeners return to again and again. The live set sits at the centre of the project. Working from hardware, Berg reshapes his material as he plays, interweaving fragments of older tracks, unreleased ideas and newly formed patterns in real time. Sections stretch, dissolve or come into focus depending on the space, making each performance different from the last.
