For years at Melbot we’ve been huge fans of Anna’s work, when she agreed to join GodsTV as the character designer we knew we were going to make something very special together. These are the 4 weirdos we came up with together. Who do you want to play as??

Model sheets for the Genshin Impact x Dodo Pizza collab video. Each character appears in two looks—original in-game outfits and custom adventure costumes. This approach turned a nearly impossible task into something achievable, as Genshin’s intricate designs are no joke for hand drawn animation. For scenes in the Genshin Impact world, the characters only appear waist-up and move minimally, but in the fantasy segments, we simplified costumes just enough to make dynamic animation feasible.

@realkereel , 2D Animatic: “Fitting 4 different time periods in a single minute was fun and challenging, because everything has to be clear, recognizable and exciting. What helps approaching such tasks is making a complete first version without second guessing every scene. Once you get to see the entire sequence from beginning to end, what’s essential and what can be left out becomes much more evident.”
