Experiencing design through 𝗦𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮 at designer 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘀’𝘀 “𝗡𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘀” 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 during the Milan Design Week, 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘥: the designer spontaneously began painting a watercolor portrait of Loreto and Eduard on a canvas made from our material.
A spontaneous moment that reflects the connection between materiality and creativity, where the artistic gesture becomes a way of exploring new possibilities.
An encounter between design, material, and expression — and the opportunity to transform a moment into something unique.

HONEXT at FLEARCHITECTURE Repurposing the Given

Since last Friday, this exhibition is open as part of the #BarcelonaArquitectura programme and within the framework of the UIA World Congress of Architects 2026 Barcelona.
Flearchitecture is an initiative by b720 Fermin Vazquez Arquitectos for the World Capital of Architecture Barcelona 2026, bringing together architecture studios, institutions and companies across the building sector.
A space that brings together 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, exploring how circularity can be embedded in both new architecture and the rehabilitation of existing buildings—prioritising quality, material recovery and craftsmanship.
At Honext, we contribute from a materials perspective, advancing high-performance circular solutions for a more responsible and healthy built environment.

HONEXT® ha obtenido su propio marcado CE.
Y este logro no es solo un paso adelante para nosotros como empresa, sino un avance real para el entorno construido circular.
Por primera vez, esta certificación europea se concede a un material como el nuestro: fabricado a partir de residuos de celulosa, 100% reciclado y reciclable, y completamente libre de aditivos tóxicos, en plena conformidad con el marco normativo europeo.
El camino no ha sido sencillo.
Al tratarse de una nueva categoría de material, HONEXT® no estaba cubierto por ninguna norma europea armonizada (hEN). Esto implicó empezar desde cero: desarrollar un nuevo Documento de Evaluación Europeo (EAD) bajo el Reglamento de Productos de Construcción (UE) nº 305/2011.
Durante seis años, y en estrecha colaboración con el ITeC, se definieron las características esenciales del producto, sus usos previstos y los métodos de ensayo y criterios de evaluación específicos.
El resultado: — Una EAD aprobada y publicada en el DOUE, que sienta un precedente para futuros materiales circulares — Dos Evaluaciones Técnicas Europeas (ETA): • HONEXT® FR-C (Sistema AVCP 4): rendimiento mecánico, durabilidad y comportamiento frente al fuego • HONEXT® FR-B (Sistema AVCP 3): con auditorías anuales del sistema de producción por parte del ITeC
Cada proceso de evaluación duró aproximadamente un año, confirmando el rendimiento técnico, la seguridad y la fiabilidad del material.
Hoy, HONEXT® puede emitir Declaraciones de Prestaciones (DoP) y aplicar el marcado CE, abriendo la puerta a su uso en proyectos de construcción e interiorismo en toda Europa.
Este hito valida no solo la calidad y durabilidad del material, sino también un nuevo marco para materiales circulares, no tóxicos y de alto rendimiento.
Se abre camino.

𝗛𝗢𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗛𝘂𝗯, 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻
Last week, we joined the opening of the new Cradle to Cradle Community Hub in Berlin — a space dedicated to rethinking how materials are made and used.
Our board, produced in Spain, is now part of this space as an acoustic panel, and featured within the exhibition. Seeing the material integrated in a place that embodies circular thinking felt like a natural step.
During the event, we shared a short pitch about our work — opening conversations around the role of circular materials in architecture, and what it means to design without waste, without pollution, and without relying on finite resources.
This new hub reflects something bigger:
