HONCHO invites SWEET ABYSS for a full night takeover for PGH PRIDE 2026! Get ready to let the freak flags fly.
SWEET ABYSS is an event to center people that run afoul of societal expectations playing a wide variety of fun, strange, rhythmic sounds to dance or move their minds to. Dance to all kinds of synth-wave, trip hop, dub, disco, & electronic explorations. Hosted by residents Kiernan Laveaux, Malzof, Davis Galvin + Carrie Sours
CARRIE SOURS WARMS US UP, then we head into the first ever b2b between Dyspheric's XC-17 and ICY PISCES. Heading into the sleazier parts of the evening sees a b2b of KIERNAN LAVEAUX and DAVIS GALVIN. Then to close us out, a staple of the old Hot Mass gets their debut in the new space: MALZOF – winding us back down through the abstracted grooves.

After last month’s heater, we’ve got the perfect followup to keep this spring cooking. For May, we turn to a good friend from the north, Montreal’s zi! We’re huge fans of theirs after they smashed The Grove to pieces at Campout 2024, and we’ve been plotting their eventual Pittsburgh debut since. zi! enables dancefloor euphoria through DJing as well as event organizing, as part of queer collective FLUSH (@arriverflush ) and of Missed Connections (@missed_connections_radio ). As a DJ, zi!’s musical selections draw from a range of genres, from house to dubstep, always a dubby touch. We can’t wait to hand the booth over to them in a few short weeks.
For the most fitting local lineup pairing, we are tapping Transit’s Michael Kaiser to bring the club to a simmer for the first half of the night. If you make your way around Pittsburgh’s dance floors regularly, you know we’re in for it. He’s the perfect complement and always seems to bat 100 in any DJ slot.
This is a night of full headiness at the club, so grab that gummy and sink into the fog and the bass. We can’t wait!
GRAB A TICKET AT THE LINK IN THE BIO, and we’ll dance with you very soon.
April Honcho is coming in HOT with an artist that has been dunking every single set we've heard over the past few years. From Hemlock Hole to Club Toilet, @laurenflax 's sound is pure "rave chaos", as we like to say. She's Detroit via Brooklyn's Bunker party, and that sounds like you'd expect: fast, funky, midwest, tough. This is going to leave a mark on the floor.
On opening duties, we hand the controls to @smoko.world to warm up the room just right. We've been in love with his eclectic range – the perfect setup for Lauren.
Finally, closing us out just right as we creep towards sunrise is our own @clarkdprice , just the right sound to wrap it all up in the late night weirdo hours.
It's heavy hitting all night long, so don't miss a moment.
NOTE: we are back to our 11pm start time and will push as late as we need.
TICKETS: Advance tickets are always required at hotmasspgh.com or via the link in our bio. See you on the floor!
Just when you thought everything had turned to shit, Club Toilet returns to Detroit... Grab ahold and brace yourself, cause we’re about to burst with the juiciest in queer talent 💦

Last year we rolled out a big safety and operations glow-up, investing in some serious infrastructure to make sure we kept the community safe, pipes flowin, and vibes high. For 2026 we’re polishing these efforts even more:
**A FULL HARM REDUCTION TEAM**
including a harm reduction station with a medic, and a dance floor safety team spread throughout the club.
**AN INDEPENDENT QUEER-LED SECURITY TEAM**
to help to make sure everyone is safe and secure.
Plus increased production staff, full custom sound, and a queer-owned lighting team in every room.

APPLY TODAY, or DONATE. The 2026 QFF Application is LIVE!
The Queer Fam Fund is open for 250 applications. Applications are first come first serve and will shut off automatically once 250 apps are received. If you or someone you know could use the support, apply today using the link in our bio or heading to honchocampout.com
📝 NOTE: Set aside 30–45 minutes to complete your application. Be honest, be yourself—that’s what helps the committee truly connect with you. This application is our only opportunity to get to know you—your story, your values, and whether this program is the right fit. Thoughtful, honest answers help us understand who you are. Every response matters so please take your time.
Wanna support instead of apply? Here’s how you can get involved:
💸 Donate directly via GoFundMe (link in bio). This method maximizes what QFF receives.
🏛️ Tax-deductible donation via Fractured Atlas – best for larger gifts ($1,000+) or workplace matching donations.
🎧 Promoters! Our Promoter Fundraising Program invites crews and events to contribute a lump sum or portion of their door revenue. Want in? Email us at [email protected] and let’s talk.
In addition to crowdfunding, QFF is supported by a portion of each ticket sale, with $15 from every Campout ticket going directly to the fund. Every share, dollar, and ounce of effort goes toward making Campout the inclusive, expansive gathering it’s meant to be. Let's build this together. 💛
If you are interested in collaborating on larger fundraising initiatives, email Kyana and Sonali at [email protected]

🖤 QFF 2026 NEEDS YOU 🖤
We've been working on Campout 2026 since the moment the 10th edition ended — and today we’re thrilled to begin sharing what’s in store, starting with the return of the Queer Fam Fund (QFF). 🏕️✨
Now in its eighth year, the Queer Fam Fund remains our north star—our dedicated effort to make Campout reflect the full spectrum of queer life. QFF prioritizes Black, Indigenous, and people of color, as well as trans and non-binary fam, by breaking down the financial and cultural barriers that too often block access to queer joy 🏕️✨ QFF is about joy, inclusion, and communal care—and about building relationships that last far beyond the festival gates.
It’s no exaggeration to say QFF changed the way Campout moves 🖤✨ From intentional ticketing to vendor collabs to how we dream about the future of this festival—QFF has been the spark behind so much of it.
Last year, alongside QFF leads Kyana Gordon and Jose Guadarrama, Honcho co-created a Vision Statement to guide where we’re going.
‘We imagine an expansive future rooted in deep connection with land, people, and art. Honcho Campout creates possibilities where queer communities can dream. Where we trust the wisdom of our elders and ancestral divas – shaping a queerscape to love ourselves. We write ourselves into this world within a world. We come together to create a space full of beauty, comfort, tenderness, and safety. We will transform our festival to be more non-binary, trans, femme, Black, Asian, Latine, Indigenous, working class, and every intersectional identity along the queer spectrum. Help us redistribute resources as we work towards collective liberation.
At Honcho Campout, we tune into what the future holds while simultaneously re-shaping it, one dancefloor at a time.’
💫
🖤 WE NEED YOU 🖤 Our GoFundMe is live now. Donate via the link in our bio or visit honchocampout.com/qff to help us keep pushing this vision forward.
✨ WANT TO APPLY? The 2026 QFF application opens February 12, 2026 and closes once we hit 250 applications. The cap is new this year, so make sure you don’t delay on submitting.

For our first Honcho of 2026, we’re proud to present the Pittsburgh debut of upstate NY’s SCOTIA @scotia_trax . Increasingly recognised for her unapologetic and occasionally unsettling “transsexual acid sound”, she’s a beloved figure rising quickly in the US scene. Expect gritty, analog basslines and queer rave chaos from start to finish. This is one we’ve been thinking about for a while.
Honcho’s own Aaron Clark returns for the warmest of warmup duties.
ADVANCE TICKETS for $20-25, PRICE JUMPS TO $30 THE DAY OF THE PARTY
AS ALWAYS, THE ADDRESS OF THE PARTY WILL BE EMAILED TO TICKETHOLDERS THE AFTERNOON OF THE EVENT.
***TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE LINK IN OUR BIO and HOTMASSPGH.com***
“But how will I know about important dates, times and other news once you’re off Instagram?!” Stress not, friend. We’ve got an upgrade for you. Subscribe to our private Campout News Telegram channel and receive push notifications (if desired) every time we drop some Campout news. Big shoutout to the person who suggested this in their 2025 Attendee Survey. We’re going to put this to work and make sure you’re fully informed.
In addition to Telegram, you can count on a brand new Campout website, a more robust email blast schedule (subscribe link in the bio), and the reactivation of the Honcho Board to discuss anything you want.
We’ll stick around on IG for a few more weeks as we launch the 2026 Queer Fam Fund applications and GoFundMe, but after that, we'll be pulling the plug on further Campout IG posts.
Soon, you’ll have your finger on the pulse of Campout more than ever before – and we’ll accomplish this while pulling our content off of Meta's platforms. Doesn't that sound great?
Thank you to Bret Bowerman for the incredible eagle's eye view of Hemlock Home. 😍
