“The Three North Stars”
As I’ve been working to build a world liberated from oppressive systems I look to the women in my life as inspiration. Strongly believing that the world would be so much better with women in charge. For this new world, this elsewhere the “three north stars” are guides, wonders, leaders, and the all powerful all knowing beings that are immortal and are always there (their like gods, deities). They also so happen to be my momma, my big sister, and my neice.
All three are amazing mothers, and would builders on their own.

Got these yesterday, and was thinking about the anti-black history of the Shirley card and analog photography and how it renders black people discolored or illegible.
Maybe this is why I’d rather digital photography cause why the fuck did these photos come out so damn dark with that bright ass flash
Been thinking a lot of photography (check my substack) planning on hosting some photo crit groups soon! Be on the look out
I took a break last week cause I was just busy and tired, but here is the next piece of my Substack writings titled “on black queer photography & the gaze” this week. I’m looking at the works of @LyleAshtonHarris . I have a strong feeling I’m going to do a second article on some of his other works as well.
