In the early summer of 1937, Holabird & Root was approached by Baseball Hall of Fame Member Bill Veeck and later commissioned to design Wrigley Fieldās bleachers and hand-operated scoreboard, which is still in use today. The buildout of the bleachers led to the hallowed ivy that was planted the same year and has become synonymous with Wrigley Fieldās many distinctive characteristics. Built in 1937-1938, both the bleachers and scoreboard are listed among the parkās features to receive Chicago Landmark status. Wrigley Fieldās charm and unique urban setting make attending a Cubs game a one-of-a-kind experience. Play Ball!

The Holabird team was honored to partner with @cuchicago on its new Nursing Simulation Center.Ā Complete with a skills attainment lab, multi-specialty intensive care spaces, a health assessment center, and a simulated home environment, this space provides real-world learning opportunities for the Universityās Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program.
It was our privilege to work with @northcentralcollege to modernize the interior of its Oesterle Library. The renovation breathes new life into this core campus building by providing spaces to enhance the student experience. Thanks to North Central College and the Holabird team for transforming the Oesterle Library into a space for students of today and tomorrow.
