A pinch-me career update:
After an incredible 10 years (almost to the day) at REAL SIMPLE, I’m excited to share that I’m expanding my role to Beauty Editor-at-Large of Dotdash Meredith. What it means: I get to make even more beauty (& beyond) magic both at RS & across all of the amazing brands in the DDM portfolio.

In my world, @hodakotb is the GOAT. Last week, I was lucky enough to interview her. And she was as warm & infectious as I hoped. I had a 15-minute window & she graciously gave me 30, including a FaceTime with my mom (swipe to see how that turned out.) After 18 years of bringing people JOY on morning tv, today, Hoda is launching a wellness app, @joy101 , expertly curated to bring you JOY. Congrats, Hoda! I ❤️ you!
She dropped endless gems but my faves were:
-she stays present with her kids by putting her phone in a @tupperwareusca bin that her daughter gave her
-in her notebook, she writes down what each of these things needs in the am: my body, intellect, emotions, & spirit so she has a mini road map for the day
-when she’s in nature, instead of multitasking & listening to a podcast, she remembers to *see with her eyes & hear with her ears*
-change can be right & incredibly painful at the same time ❤️
Guys! I’m so excited to share my first Mom-to-Mom Tip. I’ve been interviewing some of my fav mamas, asking for their best advice. In NYC last week I got to meet up with @hmuir to chat all things @peopleinc , @tubbytodd , and working mom life. Obsessed with what she had to say and her perspective. It was the first time we had met in person, but at one point I sat in her lap. Felt right. Can’t wait to share more! xx Andrea

Happy 70th birthday to the GOAT! The world’s best dad, husband, “Pa,” golfer, and chef—you are one of my biggest blessings, and I’m so thankful for you.
You’ve taught me what true work ethic looks like (from your coal miner days to designing the country’s coolest ice rinks), to appreciate the little things (like a “nice & hot” meal), and the importance of helping others (at church, New Day, and always showing up for your kids and grandkids).
