Breakfast menu is improving every Saturday. Thank you all that come each week as we get this thing going. It may be in its infancy for now, but our Saturday dreams are full of tacos grandes, pancakes, strong drinks, and maybe some drag. These tacos though, as they are right now, they’re something truly special. In true Hi-Lo fashion, they’re nothing like you’ve seen before. P.s. Hey @mycopolitan we named a taco after you! 😜

Last night was a true joy to witness the award of the GOOD QUESO SCHOLARSHIP to a local high school student. We reserve 5% of all queso sales to give back to an array of local causes. From June to December in 2025 we raised funds to contribute to a @ccapphl scholarship. Their Philly Pheast event last night was a blast and touched our souls. It was an honor to see our scholarship presented alongside one from @soomfoods and one from @culinary.collective We couldn’t be more proud that the act of making and selling queso not only brings joy to our guests but truly contributes to good in this world.

#116 A decade of cooking in San Francisco with daily changing menus has taught me that when your friends and suppliers say they’re heavy on something nice you don’t ask questions — you just buy it and figure it out. And boy are we glad we did because this taco is tasty. This week we’ve got a taco full of @Mycopolitan oyster mushrooms. For weekly taco #116 Cajun fried oyster mushrooms and garlic crema sit atop a very spring salad of asparagus, potato, (more) mushrooms and an herby salsa verde. All on a handmade flour tortilla as always.

#115 is being called ā€œChicken Supremeā€ but for us it’s really ā€œChicken Fajita 2.0ā€. We truly can’t help perpetually tweaking and improving our food so this week we’re testing out a new and improved version of our chicken fajita taco. It’s made with chicken breast, sour cream, shredded lettuce, taco sauce, shredded cheese and pickled jalapeƱo. Our weekly tacos are never repeated, released every Taco Tuesday, and sold through the week till we’re out. Get it while it lasts.

Our 114th unique taco, never repeated! Somehow we have kept this going longer than ever expected and are still discovering delicious tacos. This week we’ve got braised and seared beef with refried black beans, a chile Ć”rbol salsa, radish, pickled onion, and cilantro. This beef is fatty and rich, the salsa is hot AF (for us at least), and a solid dollop of refried beans make it all come together.

This week we’re inspired by spring, Easter, Passover, and the Levant region — where all this history is near. If we had to claim one point of reference for this taco it would be Turkish Lahmacun but we’ve made it Hi-Lo, as we always do. For our 113th unique weekly taco we’ve got a well-seasoned ground lamb patty topped with greens, parsley, jammy tomatoes, white onion and a very garlicky yogurt sauce. And fyi, Shout out to @papricagrill grill on Samson for bringing Turkish food to the neighborhood. If you haven’t checked them out you should! After many requests we have finally made the quintessential tex-mex taco — and we couldn’t be more proud of what we put in it. Beef from Gauker Farm, sour cream from Cabbot, Sunset Hill Farm Cheddar, Taco Sauce made with NJ Field First tomatoes, handmade flour tortillas made with Small Valley Milling Flour and Cabbot butter.

#111 - The Lady in Black! An ironic name for such a colorful taco. This is Leah’s favorite off-menu taco. Leah only wears black and doesn’t want to be on IG but at the end this reel is making a rare appearance and sporting a limited release (1 of 2) black-on-black hi-lo sweater. šŸŽØ by @andrewlubas Crispy shrimp, fennel-orange slaw, garlic crema, salsa macha and pickled onion. On a hand-made flour tortilla, and available this week only. Or maybe not, iykyk (🌮 🌮 🌮)
