For our next show, 25th of May, we got a super sick band from Atlanta: Muelas. A mix (post)Hardcore, screamo, post-rock but fueled by righteous fury. There is even a violin! Check the vids and you’ll know you can’t miss out on this one!
Supporting is none other but Shitman! Fresh of their latest release Fall Back (it’s goood, check it out) and ready to show why they have such a great live reputation. Expect a gnarly potpourri of nu-metal, punk, grunge, stoner and well, whatever they feel like.
Opener Grozlan slithers in between genres, somewhere around groove/alt metal, dynamic and loud. But it’s also the band of Harprit, who’s responsible for building our venue. So shows some love, come early and headbang your head off!

SAVE THE DATE because on the 29th of May Hillyweird will host it's first ever clothing swap + DIY evening. Bring your clothes and accessories that you don't wear anymore, and take home new hand-me-down clothes. From 19:00 till 19:30 you can drop off your clothes so we are ready to start the swap at 19:30. If you come after 19:30, that is no problem and you can still participate but please arrive on time if possible!
There will also be a DIY table at the scene. Please bring your own DIY supplies. Make some patches, do some sewing, crochet, drawing - all is welcome!
The bar will be open during the swap and crafts. The proceeds will go toward supporting hillyweird as a DIY non-profit venue.
Let's be sustainable together and share and re-use what we have❤️ the clothes that are left over will be donated!

This is a limited capacity show, so guarantee you can get into the show by donating now! Instead of paying your donation for entrance at the door you can do it already at Hillyweird.nl. This show will probably sell out, so don’t wait too long.
Hillyweird is a DIY non-profit space. These donations will go to pay the artists. A small cut will go to Hillyweird so we can keep the place running. If able, be generous!

Zaterdag 18 april – na 2 maanden verbouwen – kon muziekplatform Hillyweird een doorstart maken op de nieuwe locatie van broedplaats VONK in de wijk, Kleine Drift 41. Initiator Ralph Lindsen trapte af in de nu-al-legendarische Hilversumse Venue en sprak woorden van dank aan alle helpers.

Ready or not, 18th of April we'll have a proper shakedown with two screamo bands from Germany, @junejunejuly with @hatsonohado and a different shade of noise, shoe gazers @fernwehfernwehfernweh . TAKE NOTE: It will be a tryout! We are working hard to make the venue usable, but it won't be fully done yet on the 18th. But we miss you all and it will be done enough to get together again.
The rumors are true! Hillyweird has found a new home at the new @vonkindewijk in the former Van Son paint factory, a stones throw from hilversum centraal.
With this new location we are aiming to do what we always wanted: be a place to enable people to build community, through music, art and other activities. With accessibility as the guiding principle.
However, it’s above ground and has a lot of windows, so needs soundproofing. We got a plan, but need help! And we need it quick.
Are you handy? Know someone who can sponsor construction materials or better yet, has money and a heart for culture? Giving everything we’ve earned at our shows to artists has left our pockets mostly empty and starting in April we’ll have to start paying rent, so we’ll need to get up and running ASAP.
Soon we’ll launch a crowdfunding campaign, but that and subsidies take time we don’t have. So can you help? We are looking for people who can support us bridging the period between now and the end of the crowdfunding, so we can start building this month and open in April.
Of course donations are always very welcome but also a short loan until we receive the crowdfunding funds would help us a lot. We are incredibly grateful to the people who already loaned out some money so we can buy some of the materials. But we need more. We know it’s a big ask so feel free to ask us for more info, no obligations!
