This week marked the beginning of our We All Have A Story workshop series! Thank you to everyone who came out for our first session. We kicked things off with an improv session led by Ashley Comeau and Karen Parker, creating a welcoming space for connection, creativity, and trying something new. Every workshop in this series is designed to bring people together through shared experiences, whether that’s through improv, music, art, or storytelling. We’re just getting started, with more workshops coming up in the months ahead. Did you know that High Notes programming is made possible through partnerships like charitable gaming (@cgamingcgood )? We’re excited to share that we’ve recently begun working with Rama Gaming House Scarborough as we grow our presence in Toronto. Through this support, we’re able to continue offering free music lessons, group singing sessions, and more opportunities for students to learn, connect, and express themselves through music. This partnership marks an exciting step forward as we expand into a new community and reach more families. Meet Alina 🎸 Alina Grunina has been teaching guitar with High Notes Avante for over three years, and in that time, she’s seen how music can gently lift people up. “I’ve seen a lot of people actually being healed with music,” she says. A professional guitarist with international training, Alina tailors each lesson to the individual—meeting students where they are and helping them grow at their own pace. Her approach goes beyond technique. Through encouragement, patience, and understanding, she helps students build confidence, stay focused, and feel proud of their progress. “When you help others, you help yourself too,” Alina shares. “It’s amazing when people believe in themselves and achieve something.” Interested in learning guitar through High Notes Avante?
