When I was younger, I always dreamed of having not one, but an army of dogs! Something which I never thought would actually happen since we lived in a small apartment in Bombay. My first dog I ever inherited was my grandmum's dog, Elsa. She was a doberman - majestic, fierce, a one-man-dog (well more like, one family). Soon after we brought her home, everything and everyone's plans revolved around her. So naturally when we decided to adopt 2 more pups for our farm home in Varasgao, we took Elsa with us to get her approval first. We took her to this apartment where a friend's aunt's dog had had puppies. As soon as we walked in, there were all these little black and brown pups running around the hall. Elsa promptly went inside and chose the naughtiest little black puppy, picking it up in her mouth! She chose Chanel, and we picked out another little brown boy - Coco. Elsa was completely enamoured by Chanel and tolerated Coco - who was always trying to get her approval! But Chanel could do as she pleased with Elsa - chew on her bone, sit on her bed, eat her food, drink from her bowl - and Elsa would allow it. Whereas poor Coco many a time almost got his head bitten off by her if he ever got too close! They were a funny threesome to observe. After Elsa passed away, Chanel became the alpha. She and Coco lived at the farm. The entire property wasn't completely fenced off, so often they would run out, explore the area, go swim in the lake and come back completely filthy! A couple of times Chanel came back pregnant and thats how our dog family grew. We ended up keeping most of her pups and giving away some to friends. Chanel was such an incredibly confident dog. She had the shiniest most jet black beautiful coat with beautiful hazel eyes and the most perfectly shaped velvet-like ears. Most times, she was a touch-me-not! She didn't care to be petted and fussed over. She was always ever-ready to go to the lake for a swim, or to play with her ball or just chase something around! Over the years, we got the property fenced off completely, but SOMEHOW, Chanel managed to get out from somewhere or the other and would return hours later - sometimes wet and completely BROWN

The Keeper of Fire and Sea..
Beneath the shoulder of the sleeping god,
where smoke still curls from ancient stone,
the water swallows light in curtains odd —
a cathedral built by fire alone.
We fall through layers only silence knows,
past the ash-grey altars of the deep,
where the volcano breathes and nothing grows
but the coral, bright as broken sleep.
The seabed holds the centuries like dust —
pale drifts of grey on old volcanic stone,
yet from this ruin, life insists, it must —
the anemone claims the cinder for her own.
And who are we to enter such a place,
to fin through prayers the ocean long has kept?
Where manta rays pass slow with holy grace,
like monks through halls where greater things have slept.
The shark moves through the blue without a sound —
no menace, only purpose, old and clean —
a reckoning that circles, comes around,
the high priest of the places unseen.
Above, the crater mutters to the sky,
remembers floods of fire, remembers land —
below, the clownfish tends his anemone,
indifferent to what gods do not understand.
This island has outlasted everything —
the ships that passed, the stars that rearranged,
the empires that rose and crumbled ring by ring —
the reef below, somehow, barely changed.
So I descend and offer what I have:
my breath in silver pearls released above,
my smallness, and my willingness to halve
my world — give half to stone, and half to love.
The fire made this mountain. The sea filled in the rest.
And in between, a silence holds its breath….

Some snippets from our trip yesterday to Barren island.
Besides being India’s only active Volcano this place is probably meant to be Mecca for divers.
The coral colors chance of oceanic doing drive by’s and the shear magnitude and scale of things here leaves me awestruck every single time.

Sometimes it’s not about the shot or the color or anything.
In this moment I could barely frame or think about technique but in this moment I felt truly alive to every heartbeat to every pore on my skin, I felt present. In awe of what life has to offer.. so so blessed!!!

What a breathtaking snorkeling experience! 🐢✨
We spotted around 10–12 green sea turtles of different sizes, peacefully grazing on seagrass. Alongside them were so many rays — from khul’s rays to fan tail rays, leopard rays, and whip rays — all gliding effortlessly beneath us.
As the sun began to set, that golden light filtered through the surface, making the whole scene feel surreal. One of those moments where you just pause and take it all in.

... basically a Disney bada$$ for apex predators. Seriously (sometimes) jealous that sharks, rays, and everything underwater just flock to you. I can't even blame them... . . (Good taste..)

Be a feather star
Everyone's always kicking so hard, trying to chase down every little bit of action out there.
Honestly, it's often better to just find a spot, like a feather star, and ride out the current.
When you just stay put and chill, the whole show simply unfolds before you.

Diving with @scubalov.in
The irony of submersion.
.. to escape the pressure of life ...dive deeper into more (water) pressure. 🧜🏽♂️

Quite self-explanatory. Also, it’s fun to be a little scared sometimes.
