Our first shoot of the 50 States 50 Stays journey was definitely one to remember. From half the team getting stuck in a snowbank at 2am on the way to our shoot in New Hampshire to pushing through exhaustion, sickness, and all the little challenges that come with winter travel days — we still walked away with something we’re incredibly proud of. But more than anything, I’ll remember getting to do it alongside some of my favorite people. Mark (@farout.media ) on video, Katie, Russell + Drake jumping in as models, and Cody holding down the BTS cam before the stomach bug took him out 😅 @hideawayinns , thank you for having us out to shoot your incredible property. How about a trip to New Hampshire?! Vacation season is right around the corner, and lots of places are getting ready to open for the summer. Looking for a trip to Lake Sunapee? Look no further! The Hideaway Inn in Sunapee is just minutes away from so much to do! We had so much fun during our stay at the Hideaway Inn! They have and indoor pool, a game room with ping pong, giant jenga, giant connect 4, corn hole, and arcade games! There's a play room for the little ones, and a relaxing library and lounge for the adults. Don't forget the firepit and outdoor patio for the summer months! 📍There is a restaurant, the Salt Hill Pub and Shanty, located right in the same plaza with amazing food. 📍Sunapee State Beach is just one minute away, literally right behind the hotel! It is the only beach open to the public on Lake Sunapee. 📍Just a few minutes away is Mount Sunapee, and there is an adventure park open in the summer, with an aerial challenge course, sky rides, and hiking. 📍The Corbin Covered Bridge is just a few minutes away, as well as Pollard Mills Falls. The falls are fun for swimming in the summer, but use cation, as it can be dangerous. The rocks are treacherous in the rain, and people have died here. The falls are private property, but available to the public to enjoy, so just use your best judgement and respect the property and rules. 📍Another fun spot to enjoy in the summer is the John Hay Estate. This huge mansion, built in the 1800's, has over 80 acres of gardens and hiking trails to enjoy. We went, but nothing was in bloom yet, it's still a little too early. 📍For the best view of the lake, you're going to want to check out Clark's Lookout! This 10 minute gradual hike up a hill offers sweeping views of Lake Sunapee, Mount Sunapee, and bonus points if you can spot Loon Island Lighthouse! Cozy Stay in NH ⛰️ 🔹The Hideaway Inn is a perfect getaway just 90 minutes north of Boston! If you’re an avid skier, go for a run across the street (literally!) at the mountain or hike to the summit. In the Summer, you can do a 5 minute walk to Sunapee Lake which has concession stands and even a playground for the kids. Loved Salt Hill Pub which had an unreal Mac right in the same parking lot! Who’s ready for a weekend getaway? 🧳 We spent the weekend at The Hideaway Inn and it’s the perfect mix of cozy, fun, and unique. Check-in is completely contactless, which makes arrival super easy. On the day of your stay, you’ll get a code with your room number. When you arrive, head straight to your room and settle in! The rooms blend vintage charm with modern touches. Each one has its own personality, complete with a vinyl player and fun artwork. We stayed in the Wild Goose Suite and loved having the extra space to spread out. There are also a bunch of inviting common areas to hang out in. The Living Room on the main floor is a favorite, with a vinyl library, board games, and a cozy fireplace. As a bonus, it’s right next to the coffee station 👀 And the coffee is not something to be slept on. Morning, night, in between, we kept going back for a cup (or three) 😂 For a little more activity, The Yard is a large recreational space with arcade games, cornhole, and more. The Hideout is a cute spot for kids. There’s even an indoor pool, a great option no matter the season.
