We’ve expanded our Middle Grade Section!
There’s talk that middle grade readership is fading, but at Hicklebee’s we see a hopeful future. And just like any middle place, it isn’t always easy! Here we believe the middle, when supported, becomes balanced. When nourished, it flourishes.
In honor of the greatest middle of all - the past, the present, and the future - we invite you back to Hicklebee’s to see our new middle grade expansion!
We welcome you to a new reading nook for readers to enjoy. An expanded section for middle grade chapter books and graphic novels, and a dedicated space for categories we are enthusiastic about and intend to grow over time: Gaming, Myths & Tales, and art and literary supplies.
This dream project would not have been possible without the San José Creative Economy Fund. Hicklebee’s is a grateful recipient of their grant program. An initiative of the City of San José Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) @sjculture and administered by the Center for Cultural Innovation, the program supports small arts, cultural, and creative businesses in San José.
