In the the middle of Culver City at the @platform_la , lies an oasis @margotlosangeles where you can imbibe on craft cocktails and diverse menu of acclaimed dishes in a fashionably decorated space.
Highly recommend starting off with their hearty crudo slices topped with juicy citrus. For small plates, we thoroughly enjoyed the Arancini with truffle as well as the little gem salad with a perfect amount of Caesar dressing and fried capers.
The pasta with zucchini, basil, pine nuts was al dente and a creamy delight. Don’t skip the wonderful risotto, fragrant with saffron and studded with juicy morsels of shellfish. Our last savory course was a perfectly cooked striploin with rosemary chimichurri, and a side of crispy skin-on potatoes. Heavenly.
Please save room for the marvelous silky basque cheesecake. Be sure to get a bite in before your dining companion @lifewithranela devours 85% of it while you go take a call.
Margot-Thank you for the warm hospitality and providing such a beautiful ambience for a night out. With the upcoming warmer weather, it’s the perfect time to go check out their outdoor patio!

Went to one of Mama Hsu’s favorite restaurants @m.grill for an early Mother’s Day celebration. It happened to be Cinco de Mayo last night and there was an awesome taco cart, slinging juicy picanha tacos tableside. Don’t worry if you missed it, they will be serving tacos again during #dinelatino May 12-24.
My mom loves the veggie selection at the bar (beets, peppers, salad) to pair with the incoming platters of meat. I’m talking signature picanha with varying options (garlic and cheese crust), pork ribs, med rare filet mignon, their melt in your mouth beef rib, and of course her favorite: lambchops hot off the grill.
Do yourself a favor and grab a bowl of the chimichurri sauce + roasted garlic cloves at the salad bar to dip all your meat in there. Repeat until empty. Then take a sip of your caipirinha (they have passion fruit and pineapple versions!)
Save room for the expertly grilled pineapple with a touch of cinnamon. And out of the three desserts, the creme brulee is my fave! Book your table for Mother’s Day today!

Had a blast @santaanitapark where I attended my first horse race and made my first wager on a horse named “Hey Jessie”…I mean how could I not? And lo and behold, she won!!!
The shouting and anticipation and cheering from our section was akin to people cheering and high-fiving at a hot craps table. So much adrenaline!
Thanks to @clockworkcasting for hosting and feeding us. So great to mingle with @asgcasting and @frannyselkirk and big thanks to @catherine_donnelly for inviting and converting me to becoming a full blown degen horse bettor.
Had an amazing experience with @out_inthefield hosted at the illustrious @thorne.family.farm featuring @enjoybrami , a lupini bean -based pasta with high protein and fiber.
First, we grazed on passed canapes with fresh produce literally picked from the farm and delicious cocktails during a golden sunset. The impressive long dinner table was set and ready for 90+ guests as course after course was served, each featuring different types of Brami pasta. We drank, we ate, and we made new friends. I wish every dinner was served farm al fresco!

Celebrating my mom’s bday at one of my favorites @ikinorisushi where we feasted on delicious nigiri and handrolls (my friends Toro, scallop, uni, caviar, and Wagyu all made cameos).
Wish Mama Hsu a happy birthday!
My favorite part about dumplings is that you can enjoy them twice. Freshly boiled the day of and then pan-fried next day for a nice crunch. Pair with your favorite chili sauce + vinegar and enjoy!
Forget Mama Lu’s. I’m all for Mama Hsu’s dumplings made with 1 lb pork, 2 lbs of shrimp, and lots of love and care. She uses Twin Marquis dumpling wrappers that are soft yet durable during the boiling process. The result: jumbo dumplings chock full of flavor and JUICE. Pair that with her marinated cucumbers and dipping sauce and you got yourself a taste of my favorite dumplings.
Comment if you want to attend a Lunar New Year Mama Hsu dumpling party at my apt! 🥟 🎉 #

Out of the 6 commercials I booked this year, this was by far the most fun. And to think I almost didn’t get the chance to audition for it. The deadline for the self tape was 4 PM and I had just finished up a doctor appointment at 3 PM. There wasn’t enough time to go home and set up my tripod + my lights so I did the next best thing.
I asked the doctor if I could shoot in his bathroom because the natural light from the window was pretty decent. I carefully set up my phone on the windowsill and read a few lines for the PA role — did only two takes and uploaded a rushed, unpolished audition. Definitely not my best work. I immediately forgot about it. (See my audition at 1:50 mark)
Imagine my surprise when they called me a few days later to book me and confirm my size for a wardrobe fitting. They told me I would be wearing a postal worker outfit because my role had changed. Also, they wanted to know if I was ok with kissing a man and a woman at the same time. I’m always looking for new experiences so why not?
The director, Kate was kind and giving. She let us play and improvise. Her style was “no rehearsals just find the moment in the improvisation so it’s more real” and voila! (See reenactment at the 2:15 mark).
Was that last scene planned beforehand? It wasn’t in the script but it happened in the heat of the moment and it turned out to be a great exclamation point to the scene.
Takeaways:
1. You do not need expensive lights or cameras to film a successful audition. Does it help? Yes, of course. But as long as you have a good light source and they can see your face and hear you clearly with a non-distracting background, that’s good enough.
2. Take improv classes. You might be working with a director who relies on improvising to find the beats of the scene naturally. Sharpen your hearing and be able to roll the punches without hesitation. I’m thinking of enrolling in a Groundlings class if anyone wants to go with me.
3. Commit.
4. Learn where the camera is. I actually didn’t kiss her foot — but I held it facing the camera and mimed it — looked real didn’t it?
Can’t wait for 2026! 🤡đźŽđźŽĄ
After too many tacos in CDMX, it was time to switch it up and grab some Asian food. I brought my crew of actors to my favorite Thai restaurant @galangathaihouse where we FEASTED on various thai classics (I loved all the glass noodle dishes and the seafood soup and the picanha pad krapow and the massive steak). Look, there wasn’t a weak dish. Everything had flavor dialed up to 11 and the service and beautiful space was above and beyond.
Thank you to my friend and chef-owner @somsri_raksamran for the hospitality! If you’re ever in CDMX, highly recommend this wonderful palate cleanser!

Still thinking about my epic birthday dinner last month at @maydan_la where my crew (can you tell we are all actors) embarked on our journey…Definitely start with bread service and order all the dips. My favorite was the gorgeous beet with its dark magenta hue as well as the creamy labneh. Try to save some room for their seasonal shaved brussels sprouts salad and order all the skewers. If you like seafood, you will love the giant grilled prawns. Smoky with a perfect touch of heat. My favorite vegetable side was the Japanese sweet potatoes (a must order).
If you have a big crew, I recommend the hunky lamb shoulder. It’s fork tender and seasoned beautifully. Even as leftovers the next day, the meat was still tender and retained all its juices. We had a brief intermission where I got to tour the kitchen. The heat in that area is no joke. I might have singed off a few arm hairs and lost half an eyebrow, but it was worth watching every station work together in harmony like an orchestra. It just made me appreciate the meal that much more.
We ended the evening with all of the desserts, each one unique in its own right. Definitely felt the love and passion in the food and from the Chefs. Special shout out to Chef Joshua @jedifoodtricks for taking care of us and making this a night to remember. #maydanmarket #westadams #dinnerwithfriends
Attended an @apple creator event at @majordomola where chef @davidchang and filmmaker @davidwma provided a live cooking demo with tips and tricks for capturing content using the latest iPhone 17 pro. We utilized slo mo, dual capture mode, and manual exposure adjustment while shooting 4k.
We got a preview of a few recipes in Apple News+Food, the food section of @applenews where there are currently more than 100,000 recipes from over 60 publications at your fingertips.
Pair that with Apple’s clean visual language, and the result is an easy to read recipe format complete with timers that you can set within the app as well as the ability to add the ingredients to your notes list for easier grocery shopping.
Everyone had a blast trying to re-create the recipes and we mingled with talented creators, as well as a few members of the Apple team. Can’t wait to continue harnessing the technical features of this new phone to create more content!#-

Live mariachi serenade? Specialty cocktails and desserts?
YES-all of this is happening at Merry Mariachi for Dec 10 and Dec 18 at @senderolosangeles located on the 24th floor of the Ritz-Carlton DTLA.
Took my mom out for a little dinner and a little dancing in between courses. Really enjoyed the ribeye skewers, corn with poblano cream, carnitas arepas, and the must order Branzino with red chimichurri.
From the special menu, I recommend the Fig & Oak: Bourbon, fig preserves, apple cider, honey. I also enjoyed the chocolate tacos with poached pears, and if you have room, get the carajillo sundae from the regular dessert menu. Book a table with your friends and enjoy!
