We’re proud to share the launch of a new interactive data visualization we developed with Columbia Business School’s Climate Knowledge Initiative (CKI).  The experience explores global CO2e emissions and abatement pathways across sectors and technologies, helping make complex climate data more accessible, explorable, and actionable for business leaders, investors, and researchers. Working with CKI, part of Columbia Business School’s Tamer Institute, our team designed and developed an embedded interactive experience that allows users to dynamically explore emissions data and better understand opportunities for decarbonization across industries. This project builds on our ongoing work supporting research institutions and mission-driven organizations working at the intersection of climate, science, education, and digital communications. It also continues our longstanding history of collaboration with Columbia University. 🔗 Read more about our work together at the link in bio. #ClimateData #DataVisualization #ClimateAction #Decarbonization #ClimateTech DigitalDesign

📢 New work with the @center4famrep ! Decades of data and lived experience show that Black and Brown families are disproportionately targeted by the “child welfare system”—or what CFR calls the family policing system. Alongside its clients and partners, CFR is working toward a future where, instead of experiencing overpolicing and the threat of family separation, families are met with community resources and support so that they can stay together. CFR partnered with Constructive to develop a new brand and redesigned website that authentically reflects its growing identity as a public defender who does much more than just defend families in the four New York City boroughs it serves. The new messaging paints a clear picture of the reality of the family policing system through statistics and storytelling, while also communicating how CFR’s legal defense, advocacy work, and community engagement are designed to work together against a seamless system. The refreshed visual identity reflects CFR’s groundbreaking, nationally recognized interdisciplinary model that pairs each client with an attorney and a social worker, with support from a parent advocate who has been through the system themselves. The new site makes it easier for parents in crisis to get help, learn about their rights, and connect with CFR and other partners who can support their families. 🔗 Explore CFR’s new site at the link in bio.

🌏 Nearly half of the world’s 7,000+ languages are endangered, and most are Indigenous. But language loss isn’t inevitable. We’re proud to have partnered with the @endangeredlanguagesproject to redesign the platform for the world’s largest online community of language champions. Together, we built a site that: • Brings ELP’s brand to life with a bold, human-centered visual identity • Showcases endangered languages on an interactive map • Expands access to revitalization tools, mentorship, and resources • Fosters connection through contributor forums and community support 🔗 Learn more about our work together and explore their new site at the link in bio.

The caregiving sector is one of the most essential in American society. According to the latest Caregiving in the US report from the National Alliance for Caregiving (@caregiver_nation ) and @aarp , nearly 1 in 4 US adults have served as a family caregiver in the past year. Yet caregivers remain under-recognized and under-supported. The National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) has been at the forefront of this push for greater recognition and reward for the caregiving sector. Their research and advocacy work have been vital to advancing equitable systems of support for family caregivers across America—translating grassroots experience into evidence-based policy and research that strengthens and supports the sector as it stands shoulder to shoulder with caregivers. Approaching its 30th anniversary, the NAC team partnered with Constructive to reimagine its branding and visual identity to meet the moment, reflect its momentum, and set the tone for the future of care. Together, we developed a bold, human-centered identity that honors NAC’s roots and sets the stage for its future.  🔗 Read more about our work together at the link in bio.  #Nonprofit #Branding #Caregiving #HealthEquity

NELP’s communication strategy is multi-faceted, reflecting the diversity of their grassroots and grasstops audiences, the array of consistent messages and actions to drive bold systems change, and the complexity of the work needed to achieve it. To increase NELP’s visibility, reach, and influence, we designed a digital marketing toolkit and suite of design assets that give NELP’s team the tools they need to sustain ongoing engagement with all audiences across their social media platforms. We also redesigned NELP’s influential briefs, reports, and toolkits, creating an editorially rich environment for NELP to easily deliver their vital research insights that point the way forward in a visually impressive and flexible way. The new NELP brand and visual identity fits the organization’s bold new vision to build Black, immigrant worker power and seed broad, structural change. Through workshops with the NELP team, and engaging the racial & economic justice advocate Keira Issaoui-Mansouri (@imkheira ), we created a shared understanding on essential questions like how racial justice shows up in NELP’s brand with integrity and authenticity. Our resulting Brand Messaging Framework gives voice to NELP’s mission to advance racial and economic justice as interdependent, mutually reinforcing necessities. While the work is complex, the vision is simple. With narrative asset framing and authentic imagery, NELP is now communicating an uplifting message that they are uniquely qualified to lead the way to a just and inclusive economy. Founded in 1969, The National Employment Law Project (NELP) is a recognized leader building a just and inclusive economy where all workers have expansive rights and thrive with good jobs. Working with local, state, and national partners, NELP advances its mission through research, legal and policy solutions, coalitions, and capacity building. In 2016, NELP initiated a process to authentically become an anti-racist organization and more intentional in centering Black and immigrant workers in its goals and outcomes. 6 years later, NELP asked Constructive to help them navigate a transition from a wonky research and technical assistance nonprofit into a catalyst for policy action that builds worker power and centers on racial justice. We’re sharing some highlights from our work with NELP on their new brand, visual identity, and communications design. See a full case study of our work with NELP at the link in our bio.
