We present Kiran Camilleri, 17, also known as
@hertz.mt , an uprising artist whose journey is already defined by focus, curiosity, and rapid growth.
He began producing music at the age of 12, initially making hip hop beats. By 16, his sound shifted toward electronic music, marking a clear turning point in his artistic direction. While production has been part of his life for years, he only recently stepped behind the decks, beginning his DJ journey in August 2024.
His early influences came from hip hop, with artists such as Devon Hendryx and MF DOOM shaping his approach to sound and creativity. The move into electronic music was sparked by seeing

For him, reading the crowd is everything. The people on the dancefloor define the energy of the night, and strong communication, networking, and connection with supporters are essential parts of being a DJ.
He stays connected to new music through SoundCloud and Instagram, using both to follow trends while discovering new and emerging sounds.
He greatly admires the Maltese scene, citing artists such as

The most rewarding part of DJing for him is seeing how far he has come in a short time, with the final applause after a set serving as the perfect closing moment.
