Mother Nature at her most beautiful⌠and her most brutal.
Baby green sea turtles might be the cutest, most innocent little creatures on the planetâbut theyâre thrown straight into one of the harshest starts to life youâll ever see.
From the moment they hatch, thereâs only one thing on their minds: get to the water.
Iâve seen a fair few hatchlings over the years⌠but never a full clutch erupt like this. What looked like close to 100 tiny turtles flooding the sand, all charging for the ocean at once.
And then the chaos.
Seagulls dive in a frenzy. Shadows move in the shallows. Predators everywhere.
Itâs beautiful⌠but itâs heartbreaking.
If you look closely in the background, youâll see one of their brothers or sisters plucked from the waterâgone in an instant.
But they donât stop.
They donât hesitate. It doesnât break their spirit.
They just keep pushing forward.
Because in the end, only a handful need to make it⌠to keep the species alive.
