Ran into this picture by chance while browsing thru pic library 🥰 I miss them, nothing is by chance ❤️
This pic portrays the evolution of “Madonna & Child” images, my students would understand what I’m talking about, say Yes! If you’re one, and if you get/remember it, from the “Camera Obscura” lesson 🤗🎥🙌🏻

This is a bts from a Production Workshop, my students at NYFA Kazakhstan campus shot last week. They are a co-hort of talented, mostly local students in their early 20s, with an outstanding urge to learn about filmmaking, executing this shot in their 2nd PW. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I feel privileged to have the opportunity to work with such a creative group.

5 Directors and 5 DPs got together to work in a project to make 5 short films as a homage to the 50th anniversary of Bolívar Films, in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1989, in the home of one of us, my close friend and godfather of my daughter, Eduardo Scull. We teamed up random names from a ‘hat’ and went on to do our films. A photographer came up at some point to take this picture, in a film camera, there were no digital capture at the time, and we were all film people. Good times, great memories.
Thanks to @mesones2256 for publishing the picture

Time traveling to 1656, just imagining how would my photographs look in the setting of Las Meninas 😍

Four colossal statues adorn the facade of the National Museum of The American Indian in the old part of lower Manhattan that once was called New Amsterdam, now at the south end of Bowling Green. They represent Asia, America, Europe, and Africa.
The first picture was shot on an iPhone, about a month ago, the other 3 two years ago on Ilford HP5+, with a Rollei 35S through a Sonnar 40mm.

Circa mid-90s, I’m with my lovely daughter Camila, @onmywaysoon , having fun in an unidentified kitchen, in what seems to be Venezuela, judging by the container by the sink, 😆 a classic.
She has already made me a Grandpa twice, two lovely kids.
Still, when we go to visit them for the holidays, we spend time in the kitchen making delicious meals for all, also guiding the kids to have fun making nutritious dishes for the family to enjoy.
Camila is an outstanding chef.
Good times…
This is a commercial that I shot in 1989 for Metro de Caracas, last week, the director @abrahampulidoditector sent me the Polaroid that you’ll see when you swipe, the kid who plays the violin is seen in the center of frame and I am behind the camera, on a crane. I didn’t know this picture existed, the #polaroidoriginals is still good 36 years later 😍 the effect on the movement before the kid sits in the train and opens the violin case was done in a 35mm printer by skipping frames from the negative, and printing same frame several times (5 at a time) to keep sinc, it was that positive print which was used to air the spot, totally analog process.
