There is now an extremely viable anti big tech alternative to instagram out there. Go download it, add me, and post there instead. Feel free to screenshot share scrape plagiarise any and all of this for common cause. @ Heresymuseum on UpScrolled Or email heresymuseum@riseup dot net and I’ll add you to the extremely infrequent newsletter I send out with release updates related to

This years been a strange one. But I guess we say that every year now. The only People Skills music of 2025 was released last month on a lovely compilation from a new label called Slipping out of Scotland. In great company on this one binding the margins of sound collage and guitar meandering / misuse. Thanks to the dreamers making these releases happen for substantiating our nonsense. It’s not for nothing. Broken sound is a language for everyone, and to preserve that it’s good we stay unraveling the figments of power, clout, proficiency, and pretension within it. I see these synchronicitous entanglements turned physical release, that point towards humble and accidental musics, as an extension of this mantra for which I try to keep present always. No barrier to entry. No cool kids clubs. We are all space dust. Thanks for listening. 2 new solo audio documents coming on vinyl early 2026. 🫡

This Friday we debut our new lineup of The Surrenderers with Sholto Dobie in Vilnius, LT @retrito.smarsas @sholtodobie uses Progine (occasion) as suggestion / invitation towards a casual and artful public series he organizes in Vilnius. To which themes of his sonic work and great cooking perfectly compliment. Sholto’s sound walks a frayed line through environmental investigation, folk tradition, and repurposing the subtle mythologies of both with homemade sound inventions using air and strings. The Surrenderers follows in this tradition of quotidian and nonmusical sound exploration and are honored to include him. In the background, below the seemingly insurmountable geopolitical madness, jenoside, environmental convulsion, we have been recording sounds in these new formations and a full length document is in the works. Until then the link in bio will transport you to our first ep on the only uncompromised independent music sharing platform on the internet outside of Soulseek,@ninaprotocol . ✊happy October 7th and may some wild god help us erase sighonism and all webs of soul sucking corporate tentacle forever.

New mix for NTS debuts today at 2pm London time. 7am Philly. First in a series. Heresy Museum : 001 (Subalternity Interlude interiors) Photograph from the Alfred P. Sebastian Archives 1969 - 1995. Too damn scattered lately, and was on the road for the release, but really happy for the opportunity to share this mix that’s loosely about the sonic atmosphere behind the latest People Skills release.
