STORY TIME : By accident something NEW popped. The question that am asked the most…How did the white tears/claws got under Chilla’s eyes? :
-Back in 2003, L’Oreal came out with a double-sided B&W mascara to extend the lashes. So I decided to color all my lower lashes white instead of putting the black over for the white to extend and rocker that way. But one night on an elevator an elderly lady said: « Execuse me, don’t want to offend you…but you scare me with your eyes» - I apologized 😅 as she got off. Though it was funny how she felt, but felt bad at the same Time cause I LOVE viejito.a.s …. So I had to find another look. Next day, while doing my makeup without thinking I did one stroke of white on one lash in the middle of my lower lashes. I stepped back: « Oohhh! that looks cute. I don’t think I’ll scare anyone now. » Well ,surprisingly lots of people loved the look and occassionally some get scare thinking I piercied my eyes. Now a days More people get that OUCH! reaction than back in the days haha. Chilla was already born before that moment and well Jone, my 🩷 at the Time spoke the spirit of the Chilla, so he said: « You can say, the world is constantly crying, so am crying with you ». Which resonated of how I felt about injustices and the traumas we all carried. Years later, I on purpose decided to always paint Chilla with a smile to give more a vibe of Hope and Resilience. Chilla healing hearts at @queens_creation festival LIVE painting with ✨@nikki.kuentzle / @mtl_raiin and @mcbaldassari ✨. I had an amazing time with the girls and even used a brush to balance a lil haha I’ve been allergic to the idea of using brushes on a wall unless is makeup related or textile, but it’s actually VERY relaxing for abstract patterns. It was sweet to have my nephew with me, he was looking forward to see me paint 🥰… he was also checking on my timing 😏haha. then got impress that spraying can go fast. Thank you @melissa_queenscreation and @agent_lynx for having me and making Chilla part of the logo 💝 Gracias Ana for assisting us 🫡. S/O to all the dancers, really proud of how many talented queens were there. The Festival was a huge success.
