Was absolutely blessed to go to Kingston with @amindi@camerondanteconley@julian__cruz__ and work at the legendary Tuff Gong studios. Had the time of my life such such amazing people and a lifetime of memories. Swam in the sea, dropped in on a skatepark for the first time ever! (Was scared) So much more to say/share but I’ll leave it here for now! Ta ta!
EXISTENTIAL DREAD-thump’s first foray into alt. Rock, is out now. A lot of people were surprised by this song and mentioned that it has a totally new feel/genre for us, but since we all grew up on bands like nirvana/ween/radiohead/primus it always seemed like part of the creative influence and melting pot of our music. It felt super natural and came super easily, and I’m extremely proud to have this out in the world, with an amazing mix by @carysinger and an INCREDIBLE/absurd video made by all the lovely people tagged here. Won a damn Grammy with @doechii last night!!!!! So proud and LUCKY to be a part of this mixtape. In 2021, it felt like i had no motion, so I decided to make as many beats as I could as well as I could. The month I made the beat for “WAIT”, I made 70 other beats/songs. All that to say, if you work hard in the times when it feels like no one is looking at/caring about you, even if it takes YEARS, that work will speak for itself! Extremely late to post, but this guy (me) just became a 2x Grammy nominee (!!!) thanks to @doechii@topdawgent@moosatde and crew. Made this beat in 2021 when I was making 5 a day, but even amongst those I knew this guitar loop from @dylvinci felt special. You never know what’s gonna a become what in this world, so blessed to be a part of such an amazing project and to make music with such incredible people.
