The Amelanchier is always a core tree in my planting scheme, and not just for its outstanding spring blossom. I’m always looking for plants that offer interest across multiple seasons, and this tree delivers on every level. In spring, the display is simply fantastic. Through summer, the foliage remains light and airy, never too dense or overpowering. Then comes autumn, when the colour is truly spectacular, rich, vibrant, and unforgettable with that deep red and orange tone. Even in winter, it continues to earn its place, with beautifully structured stems that look stunning when highlighted with uplighting. For me, it’s the perfect example of what I look for in a plant: something that brings year-round value and visual interest to a garden, no matter the season. Another reason it firmly sits in my top five is its versatility. It performs well across a range of soil types, including clay, and thrives in both full sun and partial shade, making it a reliable, hardworking choice. If you’re considering adding a tree to your garden, you really can’t go wrong with an Amelanchier. What's your go-to? #gardening

Playing with plants is my thing, can't wait to bring some planting inspiration to the @thesoholightingco stand at Chelsea this year. Lots of beautiful combinations, the theme - A Victorian Palm house with a modern twist πŸ‘Œ If you head to Chelsea, let us know what you think of the stand πŸ‘Š Photo credit, the wonderful @lucycarnaghanphotography πŸ’š

Maybe you're in a similar situation to what I was a few years ago... trapped in a corporate role, stressed, overworked, on conference calls from the minute I woke up until the evening - it simply wasn't a path I wanted to continue. The decision to leave was big, we had to move from our dream home amongst other impactful life decisions, it led to other short and mid term stresses, but fast forward 3 years and the risk paid off, big time. It might seem impossible to change careers, change directions, but when there's a will, there's a way - just go for it. Anyhow, a gorgeous trip with my boy to @formplants today, sourcing some stunning plants for the @thesoholightingco stand at Chelsea this year. The stand will be lush, full, and all about textures, foliage, and some of my own little colour combinations I love to work with. Thank you @plantsman_jamie for keeping Mr Noah topped up with the haribo, the chat was non-stop on the way home 🀣

A little sneak peek into my current project πŸ₯° A modern country vibe, and aren't these pavers sexy? (if I can call a paver sexy...) for those wanting to know what they are and where I sourced them from, they are the Cotswolds Pavers from @_londonstone - I've used them on a few projects now and they always provide the WOW factor, can't wait to show you the full transformation. πŸ’š #gardendesign

Just thought I would clarify the situation, thank you for all of the lovely messages. I'm doing well "2 years later", the fog never really goes, I feel it lurking, but I'm much more self-aware now, I think when you have a breakdown (and you realise) you're not invincible, its quite humbling, and you certainly respect yourself a lot more, learning your boundaries, saying no, and finding balance in life so the pendulum doesn't suddenly swing off track. That's just how I've felt from my own personal experience with my mental health. Anyhow, love you guys - lets go πŸ’š

Creating curves has never been easier, this system we installed at a recent project is so simple to install - creating smooth, curvaceous lines for a beautiful free flowing garden - love it! We sourced the 3mm steel edging from @steel_landscaping_co - and subsequently, we are now using the same edging system on our current project which im excited to show you soon πŸ’š I would avoid using flimsy steel for this kind of work, you simply won't get the same result - this would be the appropriate thickness and system to use in order to create "smooth" curves πŸ‘ #gardendesign

The two don't seem to add up.... smiley, fit, happy, inside = sad, emotional, anxiety. I had never been fitter physically, but the real progress was learning to take care of my mental health. Keep talking my friends, you never know what's really going on with people. πŸ’š #mentalhealth
