In the brief pause between the monsoons, as the winds are slowly shifting, the people gather to celebrate the simple joy of creating. A Light Between Rains weaves colours, textures, sounds, melodies, movement in an interactive roving procession. Join them in creating this world, walk with them as they move through the city, take part in the powerful finale as they mould their futures through connection, imagination, and play. Presenting WARMUP SEASON 3.0, our publication for the 2025 SUMMER residency season, under the theme 𝘈𝘏. WARMUP SEASON 3.0 is a collection of artist books made by and with our artists-in-residence and guests as a record of our time together for each residency season. The first section is the result of the main thematic workshops designed by YAHAHA. The second section is 𝘓𝘐𝘍𝘌 𝘈𝘛 𝘠𝘈𝘏𝘈𝘏𝘈, a documentation of the other workshops and activities conducted by the artists-in-residence or invited workshop teachers, as well as other information about the programme. The third section displays the personal artist books made by our artists-in-residence.

Gratitude Grove, created by Kiat & Cherry (System Sovereign) is an urban sanctuary for reflection and rest. Through biophilic cues and sensory design, the space is an invitation to pause and experience how nature and design meet in the heart of the city.

This week, our four artists-in-residence have left the YAHAHA residence, and 2025 SUMMER has officially come to an end! In these two months, we researched the different personalities of AH in the YAHAHA workshops, we took photos, designed collages, constructed instruments, rehearsed for performance, created a video. We experimented with presenting the result and process of our workshops into a curated exhibition with Yáo, and facilitated mini-workshops for the audience. Our artists-in-residence also designed and hosted their own workshops for each other, learning and sharing about a diverse range of mediums and art practices in photography, jewellery, text, and print-making. Of course, we also lived and worked in the YAHAHA house and saw each other almost every moment every day (except for the week of typhoon when the bosses were in Matsu), which definitely brought us closer together. Thank you Alvin, Grace, Rose, Van for trusting us and being a part of the early journeys of our very new workshop-based residency programme. We hope you will carry a part of YAHAHA with you wherever you go, and remember the many AH moments we shared together. Now, time for both of us to finish up our publication, WARMUP SEASON 3.0…
這週，我們的四位駐村藝術家都離開了 YAHAHA ，2025 夏 也正式結束了！這兩個月裡，我們在 YAHAHA 的工作坊中研究 AH 的不同個性，我們拍攝照片、設計拼貼、製作樂器、排練表演、創造影片。我們也嘗試將工作坊的結果與過程，在 窯座 策劃成一場展覽，並為觀眾舉辦了迷你工作坊。我們的駐村藝術家也為彼此設計並主持工作坊，分享並學習攝影、首飾、文字、印刷等多種不同的媒材與藝術實踐。當然，我們也在 YAHAHA 的屋子裡一起生活與工作，幾乎時時刻刻都見到彼此（除了颱風的那週老闆們待在馬祖），這無疑讓我們彼此更靠近了。謝謝 Alvin、Grace、Rose、Van 選擇相信我們，和成為這個嶄新的、以工作坊為核心的駐村節目早期旅程的一部分。我們希望你們無論走到哪裡，都能帶著一部分的 YAHAHA，也記得我們一起度過的那些 AH 時刻。現在，該是我們完成我們的出版品 WARMUP SEASON 3.0 的時候了…

Over the past month, YAHAHA presented 𝘈𝘏 𝘞𝘏𝘈𝘛 𝘐𝘚 𝘛𝘏𝘈𝘛 𝘚𝘖𝘜𝘕𝘋? at Yáo. The exhibition is a result of all the hard work we have put in with our artists-in-residence for this 2025 SUMMER residency season. We met up with old friends and made new friends through our short time gallery sitting in Taichung City, and our artists-in-residence also got a chance to understand the arts scene there. During the exhibition, we also hosted the 𝘈𝘏 𝘔𝘐𝘕𝘐 𝘞𝘖𝘙𝘒𝘚𝘏𝘖𝘗: 𝘈𝘏 𝘞𝘌𝘈𝘙𝘈𝘉𝘓𝘌 𝘐𝘕𝘚𝘛𝘙𝘜𝘔𝘌𝘕𝘛 each weekend, where nineteen participants experienced a taste of how YAHAHA designs and facilitates our workshop-based residency programme. Thank you again to Yáo for giving us the opportunity to display what we do, and thank you to everyone who came by the exhibition!
過去這個月，YAHAHA 在 窯座 呈現了 《𝘈𝘏 是什麼聲音？》 。這次展覽是我們與 2025 夏季駐村藝術家們共同努力的成果。在短暫的顧展期間，我們遇見許多老朋友，也結識了不少新朋友，藝術家們也因此有機會了解台中的藝術生態。展覽期間，我們每週末也舉辦迷你工作坊《𝘈𝘏 迷你工作坊：𝘈𝘏 穿戴式樂器》，共十九位參與者透過這個活動，體驗了 YAHAHA 如何設計與主持以工作坊為核心的駐村計畫。再次感謝 窯座 給我們這個機會展現我們所做的，也謝謝每一位來看展的觀眾！
