Hiya, we’re heading to the USA We’re very excited to be heading from one extremely normal country to another to play in some crazy places! Thank you so so much to Ben and the team at @bada.bingrecords for putting together this big old tour for us – it’s the biggest thing we’ve ever done and the fact we’re gonna be throwing ourselves into some amazing DIY scenes thousands of miles from home is such a buzz. ALMOST LIKE YOU COULD IS OUT NOW!! Fucking hell we’ve done it!! This album means so much to us and it’s been a long time coming, so to have it out there in the world is slightly daunting but an amazing feeling. It’s basically all about looking after your mates and your community – none of this would exist without the many people we love. You all know who you are, so thank you.Specific thanks also to the king @domkirtley for making it with us, the fame throwa herself @amandatooke for the artwork, @josep_elliott for the photos and visuals and being the best mate around, our managers James and Andy @soundsmanagement for whipping us into shape, Ben from @badabingrecords for taking a punt on two twats an ocean away and putting it out, and to the legends at Beggars and Melodic for getting people to listen. Finally, Jo and Rose, for everything.Lots more to say and share over the coming days but that’ll do for now. Please listen to the record and tell your mates how hot we are. Scrounge is Lucy and Luke; guitar, drums, mic. Since meeting at Goldsmiths university in the middle of the last decade, they’ve been trying to express how it feels to be a young person living in a brutal, fast-changingcity, constantly balancing the pressures of trying to stay healthy, pay the bills and make art as part of agenuinely inclusive underground scene, all through the medium of their intense, genre-fluid music. More thananything else, this band and their album Almost Like You Could, released last year on Ba Da Bing! (Sharon Van Etten, Beirut, Cassandra Jenkins), is both a love letter and testament to the power of community and solidarity.Catch them here at The Ivy House for FREE on Saturday August 16th as part of our annual Beer Fest, a three day celebration of pints, food and tunes.Artwork by @losdemonio_

One year of Almost Like You Could Life changing record for us tbh. We’re trying to stay off social media as much as possible for a bit, but it feels worth popping back in here to say happy birthday to a record we’re really proud of. It took a lot out of us but we got so much back in return.Touring the album all through last year took us to so many crazy places and we’re so grateful to everyone who’s listened, come to a show, written about it, bought a record, told us we’re handsome, and so on. Special thanks to @bada.bingrecords for putting it out and being so great We took the first part of the year off gigs so we could write a whole new one, and we’ve pretty much done that. We’re gonna trial run a few of the new songs at @ivyhousenunhead beer fest on 16 May. You should come: it’s free, there’s beer, our new tunes are better than our old tunes and there’s a frank sinatra tribute act on after us.Ok back offline for a bit. Love you!!

The UKs largest thank you to the UKs most legendary @helloscrounge and their wonderful friends @thelatejoebowman and Ben in disguise as @baggioband in disguise as @kittyfitzd plus legendary DJ Acid Reflux and DJ Archer! Last night our besties Scrounge threw us a fundraiser and managed to raise a HUGE £2320.25 for the venue! Thats an ENTIRE WEEKS WAGES for ALL the members of the co-op, or a full weeks weeks stock, all from 1 big night. We just want to say such a huge thank you to the people who keep showing up, who keep supporting us and believing in us - it makes a hard job so much easier when we get to share the joy with all of you. Coming up soon is our 1 year anniversary - Saturday 7th of March has already been announced, keep your eyes peeled for Friday and Sunday and get tickets while ya can!
