Patina is a gallery, studio, and event space dedicated to providing an accessible and affordable platform for 3D artists, particularly those from the LGBTQIA+ community, artists of color, women-identifying artists, and other underrepresented groups. Our mission is to create an inclusive environment where diverse voices can showcase their work without financial barriers, as we do not take commissions on any art sales. Funded by community donations, Patina offers artists a space to exhibit their work and engage with the public. By subscribing to our membership (website coming soon!), you can support our mission and gain access to behind-the-scenes insights, exclusive events like our grand opening, and more. MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! INDY GAY ART SHOW!!! THIS IS HOME EXHIBITION EVENT DATES!! “This is Home: Preserving Queer Families In Indianapolis” will be on exhibit at Patina Gallery (2201 E. Michigan / @hellopatinagallery ) from Friday, June 26th to Sunday, June 28th— the perfect way to end your Pride month festivities. Presented by Jasmine and Brit Indwell of Jasmine Tafoya Photo “This is Home” is a deeply personal collection of immersive set design and visual storytelling - celebrating the everyday magic of queer families living and thriving in Indianapolis. Featuring six families, this body of work seeks to expand and challenge notions of what it means to be family, while bringing forward the representation the artists yearned for during their own queer childhoods in Indianapolis. PREVIEW NIGHT - ticketed family dinner with private early viewing (more details to come) - Wednesday, June 24th OPENING - public opening of “THIS IS HOME” - Friday, June 26th - private participating family hour 5P-6P & public viewing 6P-9P COMMUNITY DAY - exhibit open for viewing & Jasmine Tafoya Photo Family Portrait Pop-Up - Saturday, June 27th from 4P-8P (during Groovy Cat Market!) On June 4, we will be displaying a curated selection of works from the Writeshop community for On Paper. In this exhibition, you’ll see writings, musings, and various other projects created in the monthly sessions at @draftcreativespace . We hope you’ll join us on June 4! We’ll also be hosting a Writeshop at patina on the morning of June 5 that is free and open to anyone curious or familiar!

Just an update to our garden day event! For folks that RSVP’d ahead of the change, we sent out an email with the updated date of our garden day in May 17th from 1-4pm! We hope you can join us for this fun event and get your hands dirty. Bring a shovel, water bottle, and some gloves!

Supporting artists preserves the strange, imperfect beauty of human creativity. MOCO has teamed up with local Indy artist Meghan Curran to bring Sunstruck to life, a summer parfum imagined through Meghan’s colorful, playful lens and translated into fragrance by MOCO Fragrances. Join us at Patina on June 5th from 6-8 PM to be the first to sniff ☀️
