And just like that, I’m all done! I’m not counting the meeting I have tomorrow as ā€œworkā€ per se, or the emails I still need to send but OFFICIALLY I am done until the autumn!✨ Now don’t get me wrong, If a new client reaches out to me in the summer and I have capacity/I can bring the baby in the carrier then I will be there! And not to mention I have at least 3 events I have in the pipe line for the summer, plus one business proposal still in the works… okay, I’m not really done am I šŸ˜ #workingmum #midwifelife #antenataleducation #londonmum

Growing a daughter while raising daughters. ✨Divine female energy ✨ Creating life with one hand while teaching little girls to be loud, fearless and completely themselves with the other. 🤩 This photo idea has been in my head for a while, and the girls nailed it with me. No other soundtrack would do! āœŒļø #girlmum #londonmum #divinefeminineenergy #girlsdoitbetter

The art of slowing down… something I’m clearly still trying to learn šŸ¤šŸ«£ Pregnancy with little ones already here feels very different this time around. There’s no long naps, quiet weekends or leisurely antenatal yoga classes — just snacks to refill, tiny hands to hold, washing piles that somehow reproduce overnight, and children who still need you even when your body is begging you to sit down. I keep telling myself to ā€œtake it easyā€, while also making endless mental lists of everything I should be doing. The hospital bag still isn’t packed. The baby clothes aren’t organised. My sleep is absolutely rubbish. Don’t even ask me about if the loft conversion is done or not. And I’m finding that strange balance between what I can do and what I expect myself to do really hard at the moment. But maybe this season isn’t supposed to look polished. Maybe slowing down doesn’t mean candles, baths and perfect rest. Maybe it’s this — sitting on the floor for five minutes while little hands stroke your bump. Letting the washing wait. Choosing the slower walk. Accepting help. Admitting you’re tired. And remembering that growing a baby while raising babies is already enough šŸ¤ And to the other mamas in my life doing life and business’ whilst growing tiny people, you’re amazing!! #mumlife #londonmum #girlmum #hellolittleone #londonlife

I sat down with Lucy, senior midwife and the founder of @hellolittleoneclasses to talk about the side of pregnancy we don’t always get to cover at a midwife appointment. The full Q&A is on the website now > JOURNAL.
We talked about everything from managing birth anxiety to bringing a newborn home. Lucy’s advice and joyful energy is the grounding force every mama-to-be needs right now.

Lucy has years of hands-on experience supporting women and birthing people through pregnancy, birth, and beyond. @hellolittleoneclasses antenatal classes she combines real-life insight with expert knowledge to create relaxed, personalised classes that actually feel relevant (and even a bit fun).

One of the newest additions to Hello Little One… šŸ¤Baby First Aid & Baby Safety sessions. This is something I’ve wanted to offer for such a long time because, although we all hope we’ll never need to use these skills, I truly believe understanding the basics of infant safety and first aid is such an important part of preparing for parenthood. Having confidence to act rather than freeze and panic can be the saving difference to your child. From choking to CPR, fever concerns to knowing when to seek help — sometimes just having a little knowledge can make parents feel so much calmer and more confident. Baby safety when it comes to Safe Sleep and baby wearing are also crucial to understand and will be covered within my class. I’ll be offering these both as private 1:1 sessions, small private groups or and small public group workshops, which I’m SO excited about. These workshops I’m hoping to run over a variety of venues in central London, and includes some in East London where I live šŸ’• WATCH THIS SPACE FOR LIVE COURSES! And a huge THANK YOU to Andy at St John Ambulance for being such a brilliant teacher — and for probably teaching the most pregnant woman he’s ever had on a course šŸ¤°šŸ»šŸ˜‚ In true Lucy fashion, apparently I’ve decided to do absolutely everything all at once…. I can’t wait to start bringing these sessions to Hello Little One families ✨ #babyfirstaid #parenteducation #londonparents #londonmums #parentsofinstagram

We speak so much about the changes a baby goes through during the 4th trimester — but not nearly enough about the changes a mother goes through too. The transition into motherhood is called matrescence: a huge emotional, physical, hormonal and neurological shift that can reshape almost every part of a woman’s identity and daily life. Research shows the maternal brain undergoes profound remodelling during pregnancy and the postnatal period, particularly in areas linked to empathy, emotional processing, bonding and vigilance. It’s beautiful, powerful… and at times incredibly overwhelming! Whether you’re a first-time mum or birthing person navigating the shock of becoming responsible for another human, or a mother balancing the needs of multiple children whilst trying to hold onto parts of yourself too — matrescence matters. During Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week (4th-10th May), perhaps we need to stop asking mothers how quickly they’ve ā€œbounced backā€ and start asking how deeply they’ve been transformed. šŸ¤ At Hello Little One, supporting parents isn’t just about preparing for birth — it’s about recognising the huge transition into parenthood and helping families feel informed, supported and less alone within it šŸ’• Like šŸ‘ share ā© comment with your experience! #maternalmhmatters #4thtrimester #postpartum #newmum #motherhood

I can’t believe it’s very almost time for me to properly go on maternity leave for (?!probably?!) the third and final time! 🄹 We are so excited to be expecting our 3rd daughter in a few weeks time šŸ’• But in true Lucy style, I don’t seem to be slowing down in the slightest! There’s still some teaching to do, there’s work with other brands going on, many emails, much planning and general madness. Plus, we’re halfway through a loft conversion… Plus this baby decided to follow her big sisters footsteps and tried to come almost 4 weeks early over the BH weekend (I’m home and still pregnant, thank you UCLH for looking after me!). PLUS I still have a 3 and a 4 year old running wild. ITS A LOT. But I wouldn’t have it any other way 🄹 I want to give a big shout out to some wonderful people that have made this journey of Hello Little One, and especially the last few months of my pregnancy extra special with their wisdom and kindness! I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us all together in the future: @torigriffin superstar marketing expert, just being there to share the experience of a new business venture with šŸ’• and the great intros… @final.dates Ananda, I cannot wait to get together IRL and conquer everything together! @f_ourmamas and the wonderful Olivia for being so open and kind to me, and inviting me into the fold with open arms! @babymoriofficial and the lovely Beth, whose never gotten tired of my chaotic emails, can’t wait for our summer plans ā˜€ļø ALL of my girls, friends, colleagues and family who have supported me and my vision along the way. Women really just do it best! Extra shout outs- this STUNNING dress I’m wearing in my picture is by the talented and all round awesome human Amelia from @nomadic_mother , photo by emilygrahamphotography2 who I can’t wait to invite over for a new born shoot soon šŸ’• To all the mums and birthing people I’ve met over the last few months during my pregnancy, thank you for telling me I looked okay, when I really didn’t feel it šŸ˜… it’s been a pleasure to look after so many women at my day job and as an educator for Hello Little One. Big things are coming šŸ’• and I don’t just mean me waddling down the road 😜 Lucy x

Today, I pottered into central for a big, important meeting about the direction of my classes. Because why not do some massive proposals with less than 6 weeks left of your pregnancy?! 🤪 This would be an amazing addition to my current business progress and I hope I’ve done enough to impress the right people! But now, it’s time to finish sorting baby bits left over from the big girls, pack a hospital bag and start to really imagine life with 3 wonderful girls… who am I kidding?! Better finish the loft conversion and the other never ending list of things to do first… no one packs more into a few weeks than a heavily pregnant mum eh! For those looking for classes- please watch this space. I’m not entirely sure when I’ll be back and ready to teach post-birth, but I’ll be hosting some cool events in the meantime, and try to push out a bit more content too 🄰 Lucy x
