I’m performing at MORE! this Saturday at @zebulonla step through the looking glass of the unhinged mind of @enoeyes — you will be delighted.
🛑not a normal comedy show… it’s much more.🛑
MORE! is a “variety” show meant to cut through the overwhelm and distraction we’re all living in.
It’s a mix of music, sketch, stand-up, video art, characters, and experimental work built around the idea of “too much.”
I’ll be in… rare form.
Not the usual set in any way.
If you’ve seen me before,
this won’t be that.
7:30 show. Afterparty after.
Ticket link in bio.
If it says “sold out,”
check again in a few minutes.
We’re adding more capacity.

Sound 🆙 Hear insights into the @live_laugh_lube_ painting ENJOY!!!!!!! with comedian Evan O'Brien and artist Mieke Marple—as we talk about casinos, exploitation, and trying too damn hard.
Evan O'Brien @helloevanobrien is a stand-up comedian, actor, and producer known for Parks and Recreation, Marlon, and General Hospital. He began performing early, with sketch appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien as a teenager. His comedy is conversational and image-driven, often blurring the line between observation and punchline. He explores identity, behavior, and the quiet systems people absorb before they realize they’re following them, letting audiences recognize themselves before they fully catch the joke.
Mieke Marple @miekemarple is an artist and writer in LA. She created the project “Live Laugh Lube," in which she collaborates with clowns and comedians, because she hated Instagram and wanted to shift the energy. She has exhibited internationally, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb and MoCA CT, and written for publications like The Huffington Post and McSweeney's.
Much thanks to @felixedebecker of @happytogetherstudios who helped create this video 🙏🏼

⏭️ In December 2024, my world was rocked. For anyone who’s faced the realities of an aging parent, you know the weight I’m talking about. Just a month after our 11:11 wedding, the floor gave out. From pink clouds to falling skies in a matter of weeks, I was on the edge of exploding—or imploding—and all I could do was pray for somewhere to send that energy.
It had been nine years since I last stepped on a stage. Yet somehow, I found myself pulled back to the on-ramps of expression. Since that lowest point nine months ago, I’ve returned to stand-up, performed in New York with a brilliant cast of dancers, leapt into a play in April, and again in August—this time acting, producing, and directing.
What started in darkness has carried me back to light. Creativity and collaboration have been the through-line, the way forward. I can’t imagine life without it. If there’s a whisper in you asking to create, listen.
Trust it. It’s worth everything.
— here’s some breadcrumbs I picked up along the way..
“Ambition without action becomes anxiety”
“Consistent progress beats delayed perfection every time”
“Mourn the expectation and make love to what is”
“If you’re looking for a lost and found it’s everywhere but here”
“Divide and Conquer gets you to divine and concur”
“Appreciate your progress while sitting in traffic”
“Complaints are for the rich and lazy, gratitude is what keeps the truly free from going crazy”
“Don’t be satisfied with stories, how things have gone with others. Unfold your own myth.”
“Nowhere or Now Here; you decide.”
Meet Ian Ward — your new "Harry" in The Gold Top. You will recognize him from Rock of Ages, American Idol, or from Jesus Christ Superstar with Cynthia Erivo & Adam Lambert at The Hollywood Bowl. In The Gold Top, he joins the ranks of the other amazingly talented Harrys who bring a burned-out guitarist back from the edge. Tickets are already selling—and if history tells us anything, they'll be gone fast. The last two shows of The Gold Top completely sold out, and this new chapter is our most ambitious yet. Join us Saturday, August 23rd, for an immersive, one-night-only experience that fuses live concert energy with a haunting, poetic theatrical story.
Doors open at 7:30 PM / Show starts at 8 PM at The Pico in Los Angeles. Come early, grab a drink, and prepare to lose yourself in a world that’s part rock revival, part Southern gothic fever dream, and unlike anything else in LA theater right now.
ONE NIGHT ONLY
August 23rd, 8PM

“There may not be as much humanity in the world as one would like to see. But there is some. There’s more than one would think. In any case, if you break faith with what you know, that’s a betrayal of many, many, many, many people. I may know six people, but that’s enough. Love has never been a popular movement and no one’s ever wanted really to be free. The world is held togther, really it is held together, by the love and the passion of very few people. Otherwise, of course you’re in despair. Walk down the street of any city, any afternoon, and look around you. What you’ve got to remember is what you’re looking at is also you. Everyone you’re looking at is also you. You could be that person. You could be that person, you could be that cop. And you have to decide in yourself not to be.”
- James Baldwin

It’s hard to put into words how much has happened in the past two months. I’m so grateful to my beautiful wife, my loving friends, family, neighbors, creative collaborators, and everyone who has checked in on us during this difficult time. We’re safe and trying to keep moving forward—back to work while fostering cats from smoky apartments, setting up volunteer schedules, and organizing donations.
This has already been quite a year. Every time a life-changing challenge arises—like these fires, a health crisis with a loved one, getting sober, or whatever it may be—there’s always that thought: How are we ever going to get through this? I’ve said that sentence so many times over the years, and all I know is that we do.
In times like these, we take turns being each other’s better angels. Stay the course and embody kindness wherever you can—or at least apologize when you fall short. No matter how bleak a situation may seem, you’re never truly alone.
Wherever you are, you matter. Whenever you read this, take it as a sign: You are loved.

🔺15 Years 🤲
There were so many versions of me back then, I walked with a wild variety of friends and acquaintances - some were impossibly genuine and hilarious, others were lower companions who held the lamp while I dug.
Some were corporate, others were barefoot hippies, some embraced the gutter, others sipped with their pinkies raised. They were concentric circles that never mixed.
I was terminally unique and had no clue who I really was. There was a Lower East Side Evan, and a Brooklyn Evan, there was Boston Evan, and Good Friends Evan, there were a thousand different pieces of a person stuffed into this one body and only until I found recovery on 12/5/2009 was I able to understand that I could be one self - all the time - everywhere - with anyone.
It’s been an incredible, unthinkable journey, I’ll never forget where I came from and how in order to keep what I’ve got, I’ve got to give it away. To the real ones out there, who helped me so much over the years (you know who you are), I love you and have your back always.
To anyone out there who’s struggling to put the pieces of themselves together, reach out anytime.
👉🧩 You are loved
