Another one of Moonlit Bamboo Forest, this time sharing what I did most on this project as lead clean-up : spotkeys.
Key drawings in color to find the best line thickness balance for each characters in each shot, under the careful supervision of @david.pagaille , so we could achieve the traditionnal ink style he envisioned. It's not the most fun to look at, but this was a crucial step in this project, to get the most coherent style possible.
@mrfeulmeud and @eilasorb_ also did some spotkeys shots to help me out!
For this particular shot, I did more keys than usual (1-3 drawings) because of the changing distance to the camera. If I remember correctly, it was animated by none other than @mourad_elias_seddiki (swipe to see the tie down) and the final clean-up would be done by @anna.ahha and Kamila Konczewska!

On this one I was supervising the clean-up at @jesuisbiencontent , and what a process this was to give this traditionnal ink feel and yet keep the thickness variation coherent 🥵 leading left me almost no time to clean, this is the only shot I kept for myself to do from beginning to end. Animated by the queen herself @amandajespersenholm , swipe to see her amazing tie down I worked from.
This project was intense as it was my very first supervision, but I had the best clean-up team on this production, and learned so much from everyone! Thank you for having me 🙏

Another post before I go back to not posting for 5 years 🤡
Beginning of the year I had the chance to help a bit on @venlarvae gorgeous short film, developed at @thelineanimation . Here is the one shot I did, clean-up, inbetweens and color. Beautiful animation by @maxime_jouniot . As clean-up it might not look like much, but this kind of slow-mo stuff is so technical and precise.
It was my first time meeting the golden team at The Line and such a fun project, out of this world talent every step of the making, I was blown away. It's also up online if you haven't see it yet!

Earlier this year, I did some assisting and spot key work for @thelineanimation , on Azuki Elementals, promo short directed by @librabear . Spot key work is hard to show as you do only a few frames on the shot. But on this particular one I had the opportunity to do the final clean-up, as well as shadows and highlights. Animation by the insanely talented wabbla
