Inspired like crazy by Beyoncé’s homecoming live, wanted to keep (the magic) within a tight duo, thought of the one and only angel @thissoberrr (look at how beautiful and look at the quality!) to bring the work to life — and this was it.
I want to look back on these videos one day, smile to myself and remember the real meaning, work and process behind creating these little mini projects. The time spent definitely meant more than the actual final work 🕊
And of course not forgetting the videography magic and irreplaceable support by my beloved @lesterfisherman ❤️

This was the first song I ever taught in my first ever class at @recognizestudios when I was half not fully aware of my body yet, and half not feeling worthy of the opportunity. The journey hasn’t been an easy one but it’s been filled with learning and beautiful things in little spaces - like this piece that I’m not afraid to say I’m very proud of. This piece went through countless countless drafts to become what it finally is today - and it heavily bears love and sentiment.
Also, this is Carmen. My big sister and one of the two biggest pillars in my journey growing up (@alyssakht 💌) - every body angle, every slight execution in dance I’ve learned from her and from watching her silently from the sidelines - (she also came to support me at this first ever class) and it fills my heart so, that this has come full circle. I love you my shif! You teach me many things that I hold dear to my heart.
I’m also growing to love simple layers/canons and uncomplicated movements and this is a piece I’d like to share and immortalise here. Like it if you like it! Thank you from the bottom of my heart my fishy @lesterfisherman for taking the time out to prepare and help me film this. I am blessed 🌙
I feel like the fear of stepping into a class has long given way into a love for it — and the desire to train and get better at knowing my body. & the training was realllll in this class. What a treat, teacher and what a beautiful soul you are! @monkcus_ 🕊
