‘Hotter Than The Sun’ is officially OUT THEREEEEE for all to see and hear and I really hope you like it!!! I made this song with my ever loving guys @dead.matts and it took us a little minute to find the special sauce for this one...it always feels tougher for me to let my guard down with “happier” sounding songs like this. As usual though @dead.matts helped me find my voice within it and have fun with it and once it finally all came together through much trial and error...I would cruise back and forth from the studio listening to the demo at highest volume possible screaming “OKAY I CAN EMBODY THIS I SWEAR” haha It feels like performing a scrappy diy exorcism on my inner hater every time I sing it. Like I’m a butterfly/moth/insect bitch flapping my wings at will. The video is equally as special to me ...working with Gwen in the directors chair...she just burrows into my brain and without even questioning it...knows exactly the perfect visual language to fit. makeup looks from tour - 🤡🐹👼 - I cleaned a corner of my shit room before this last run and found a ten year old makeup forever face paint palette and I felt VERY inspired! #expired #inspired Doing my own makeup before shows is like a meditation I can count on everyday. It’s really one of the only times im alone and quiet and I really really love doing it. Still figuring out how to do my own hair tho🫠☠️🗿

This was my first time being on national television and I feel like I channeled Stone Cold Steve Austin aka Austin 3:16.

When I first wrote this song I NEVER imagined if/where I would end up singing it and last night getting to sing it at a most legendary venue felt as heavy as it also felt light and really actually just so special. Thank you to @thebroslandreth for taking me and Graeme and Seth on the tour adventure of a lifetime. Ending it at Union Chapel in London was incredible. I was so in awe of it all and so proud of how far my friends have come. Traveling around the world with my pals opening shows these last few months…watching sold out crowds adore and appreciate them every night…it’s been very moving and powerful shit! Now I sit in the Toronto airport waiting for my second flight home and wondering wtf just happened. 🫠💝 I watched Les Miserables (Anne hathaways version) on my first flight today and I must say it was a bad idea. Anyways I’m all at once so sad this tour is over but also very excited for my bed and watching the shittiest tv this world can imagine for at least a week.
