Today I learned that if you leave your block in the sun, it naturally warms and softens the lino for carving. Sometimes breaks in the action teach you something important about the process.

In hopes they'd be dry when she needed them there.
The rest of the house was perfectly asleep,
While she hurried and busied to bring crowds gifts they would keep.

Come out for a big holiday market weekend here in the Triangle!
Patchwork Market is this weekend at the Durham Armory. Saturday and Sunday the 6th and 7th from 12 to 4. New vendors each day and free entry! The first 100 shoppers each day get a free tote bag. Come ready to shop local and support handmade.
The Perfect Lover's Winter Market is Sunday from 10 to 3 and will feature more amazing artists, as well and cozy drinks and community care. I will once again be donating at least 20% of my sales to a family in Gaza in need of support.

What a joy it was to make these custom collar clips for a special customer last month! I have wanted to do collar clips for a while and always find a different project to work on that feels "safer". Pssshhhh, but where's the fun in that??
Sometimes customers are our best mirrors. Sometimes they help us try new things and stretch our skills. Sometimes they remind us that your creativity will find its people, and that's who you should make things for.
I'm always open to customs, whether it's printmaking for a special event or baubles to help you feel like your most fabulous self. I love bringing your ideas to life!

10/19: Hosted by @compassionapothecary along with Mothers for Ceasefire and @uymamidj this event will feature tattoo flashes by @br0ken.body@ari.pokes.ink and @jaxnhill along with music spun by @djkward and lots of amazing vendors. Proceeds from this market will directly benefit families in Gaza 🍉!
