Don't miss it!
On 7/27/2024 @sr.conifer and I got married and had a big party. In this life, it's not too often you find yourself in a room surrounded by the people who have shaped it. I have never felt so much love. So much connection. Thank you to everyone who made it so special.
We have never smiled more ❤️

❤️ Clue ❤️
4/9/2012-8/6/2024
Our dear Clue left this earth last Tuesday, August 6th. While enjoying a beautiful summer day, Clue had an altercation with a dog in our neighborhood that left him fighting for his life. He passed away that evening.
I will replay this day forever. Wishing for a different outcome. It's still hard for me to belive this happened.
Clue was pure. Not a malicious bone in his body. A fast friend to many who came into his home. He trusted easily.
Clue loved us as much as we loved him. In fact, he lived for us, following us around the house. Needing to be near us. Waiting, sometimes patiently, for his beloved naps and cuddles. He was an incredible friend. Always there. You could always count on Clue.
His adoption, just over 6 years ago now, marked an important milestone in my life. The beginning of a new family. He was there through good times and sad times. Steady as always. Providing a slow blink and calming purrs.
His absence in our home now is palpable. His meows missed beyond measure. Now, everything is quiet.
I thought we had years left together. I wish we did. More than anything, I wish the transition had been peaceful and that I could have expressed the deep gratitude for all he brought to my life. At the very least, a proper goodbye and an enormous bowl of his beloved crunchies with some water from the faucet before heading onward.
Clue, I love you. I miss you buddy.
❤️
💙 Tooney 💙
2/2007-12/28/2023
On Thursday evening, we said goodbye to our sweet Tooney.
Tooney came into our lives on a whim, instantly melting my heart with her bright blue eyes that looked tiny galaxies. Her unique temperament quickly became apparent: sweet, sassy, smart, and furiously loyal.
She was with us just shy of 5 years, but her impact on my life was immense. She was my buddy, never far from my side, always game for the gentle adventures I planned for us. She liked to go places, unusual for a cat. She loved quarantine, glad to have me couchside. She demanded ice in her water for a time. She kicked Clue off the bed with her many manipulations. She liked watching the sopranos, helping with admin work, listening to music, tending to the garden. She loved watching the reflections of sunlight off our phones. And her green brush sent her to paradise.
And she was a fighter, using up every one of her 9 lives, beating the odds and overcoming health challenges. Maybe I got so used to it I figured she'd pull through again. But it was her time to pass, and I miss her dearly. Deep down, I know she's still here next to me.
