Great fun documenting good friend @caroltrindadeartist at the at the Butoh Performance and Drawing event at @case.edgerton.studios a few weeks ago. Serious artists at work and a fine time was has by all involved.
@arenadances celebrates its 30th anniversary season tonight and tomorrow night, April 17th and 18th at the @luminaryartscenter . It features fine world premieres by 4 outside choreographers, Wendell Gray II, Shane Larson, Assaf Salhov, and our own local and admired Wynn Fricke.

An amazing experience this afternoon, being one of over 100,000 people crowded into the area around the Minnesota Capitol for a good cause, No Kings. It felt so good to hear our leaders talking about caring about and protecting each other. Here are a few of the great signs attendees created, and then of course there was the Boss.
@hatchdance will be presenting How to Cultivate Your REM Cycle at the @southerntheater in Minneapolis for the next 4 days, March 26th thru the 29th. It is an exciting performance conceived by Helen Hatch with text by Jon Ferguson, and created collaboratively.

More fine modern dance in the twin cities tonight, March 21, when @contempophysicaldance performs Maharu at @theoshaughnessy in St. Paul. This is an adaptation of a powerful play written by Kasano Mwanza, in collaboration with the playwright.
@concertodancebyjolenekonkel is at the The @southerntheater these next three days, March 20th, 21st and 22nd. This show is called Such Sweet Thunder and among other things, is a look at the untold stories of Shakespeare's women. Very exciting.

was at the Northrup last Sunday to open the Minnesota Moves gala concert for the 2026 ACDA North Central Regional, along with many other fine local artists. BLM performed Artistic Director @carltheflinker "This Bleeding Heart" and it was special. So glad my camera got a ticket.
