Ironman Gulf Coast - P4 🏁🤯
The swim was cut down to 1000m because of the current... I came out of the water just 30" off the lead. 🏊♂️
What followed was the biggest absolute hammer-fest of my life on the bike (possibly the 2nd fastest 70.3 bike split in history? 🤯). By km 6, I was right at the front. We worked well with @rethsider and @mdubrick7 to put the pressure on @samgolong and make him work for it. When he finally caught us at km 45, I had to dig deep and grit my teeth all the way to T2! 🥵🚲
I’m still missing a bit of speed on the run to really hang with these monsters 😅, but we’re putting in the work with the coach @valent1_dsch
Onto @ironmanamericas Chattanooga next week for the next chapter! 🤞🔥
Natation raccourcie à 1000m à cause du courant... Je sors de l’eau à seulement 30" de la tête de course. 🏊♂️
S’ensuit alors le plus gros chantier de ma vie à vélo (le 2ème temps le plus rapide de l’histoire sur 70.3 ? 🤯). Dès le 6ème km, je me retrouve aux avant-postes. On collabore bien avec @rethsider et @mdubrick7 pour mettre la pression sur @samgolong et l’obliger à s’employer pour revenir. Quand il fait la jonction au km 45, il a fallu s’accrocher et serrer les dents jusqu’à la pose du vélo ! 🥵🚲
Il m’en manque encore un peu à pied pour aller titiller ces monstres, mais on sait quoi travailler maintenant avec le coach @valent1_dsch 😅
